Ajax wondered the forest. It had been such a long time since he had been here. Time hadn't changed it one bit, he thought. The only the sound was the sound of huffs on the ground as Ajax walked across the ground. The trees around him where turning colors and weather wasn't as warm as it had been the last time. Every step he took, there stood another beautiful tree with its red, yellow, green, purple-ish, and brown leaves.
On, and on he walked. As Ajax walked, the sound water started to come, but it might have been in his head. The wind blow, and with each time, Ajax took a big, deep breath. Breathing in the smell of the air, of the trees, of everything. Time could only tell how long it would be until he would have to leave again.
Ajax wanted to go and explore the country, but, yet, had a want to stay at home, in the trees, and flowers. Let the seasons do what they do, and live in complete ease with it.
As he walked, Ajax thought that he saw where he used to live, but couldn't be sure. The tree must have changed, weather it be taken as a new home for some other creature, or have moss on, or something. As he drew closer, Ajax saw that a new creature was there. It wasn't just a creature, it was his sister!
"Kim? Is that you?" he said. The female Centaur turned her head at sound of her name, but she had changed.
The other Centaur grown so much. She was just a young girl the last time he had been here, and now she stood before him, fully grown, and on her own.
"Ajax? It can't be... They all said that you had died and gone to the heavens above. And yet, you stand here, before me, with that smile that I could never forget! How have you been? What have you been up to? How long has it been? I was about 5 when you left, and now..." she said. She was no longer a five year old year.
Out walked another Centaur. This time, male. He walked up to Kim, and put his arm around her waist, and it is was clear that Ajax was going to have to find somewhere else to stay. "Whats the noise about, Kimmy? You'll wake the little ones!" he said. As said this, he looked over Ajax, like was getting ready hit him, if he said the wrong thing. "This is my brother, Ajax. He is back from his exploring." she said this with a firm voice, one that said that if this other Centaur did anything, Kim would make sure that he paid for it. "This Ethan, Ajax. My husband. Come in, come in! I am sure that you are tried, and need rest." she said with kinder voice.
Ajax wanted to come in, but he didn't wanted to intrude, so he said, "Maybe later. I want to go and see everyone else. Nice to meet, Ethan. I hope to get know better, as time goes on." Ajax bowed at the pair of them and walked away.
He had only walked a little bit from him old home, when he heard something. He got his bow ready, and looked around, and listened.
The noise had come from a near by bush. Ajax walked closer, but he wasn't sure what he would find. Though he had lived here once years ago, time had changed things. He had no clue what he was about to find, but kept his bow strung, got yell in his throat, and was ready to call out if he needed to. He didn't think that he would, but you never know when your going to need help from a neighbor, or something.

There didn’t seem much very interesting these days. Everyone that wanted her help only had a mere scratch or maybe one or two wounds that got infected. People seemed to be frightened easily when it came to the ‘possibility’ of getting sick from something. Especially paper cuts. They always complained the most when the side of a piece of paper made a clean cut through their skin. Paper cuts took a while to heal, since they were such easy wounds to make. It was like chopping a steak knife through warm butter, but could you get the butter back to how it was before? Good luck.

It wasn’t like she wanted people to get hurt, but that’s how she made a living. She’d heal anybody who needed healing. If they were some evil greedy man that wanted nothing but power, she wouldn’t go anywhere near them. In her eyes, greedy men deserved nothing but a slap in the face.

She had nothing better to do, so she decided a couple of hours ago that it would be a good idea to explore this forest. The only reason why she would complain would be if she saw absolutely no other life. She wouldn’t even complain if her beautiful light blue dress got dirty. There was no breeze or wind of any strength, so her long, silvery/blue hair stayed straight, flowing over her curves and almost blending in with her large, feathered wings. Her wings were folded neatly behind her as she walked, appearing almost like an angel with all her beautiful features. Her hair covered up her pointed elven ears, so unless you really knew your races, she could be a winged demon as far as anybody was concerned. However, she was nowhere close to being a creature of the abyss. She’d never even dream of being one.

This forest, on the other hand, she found very amazing. The colours, sounds, and the whole general appearance of it made her feel happy inside. It made her wonder how a place so peaceful could even exist, with how much chaos and greed that was in the world now. There used to be plenty of beautiful land like this, but now, with mankind wanting more and more to claim for his own, nature was being destroyed, and innocent animals were losing their rights.

She took in a deep breath. Her train of thought was not going very straight right now. She started paying more attention to her surroundings, and just letting her eyes enjoy the forest, and letting her ears enjoy the audio that was usually available within a forest. Something about it, though, seemed a bit too quiet. She hoped there was still wildlife out here. It seemed like a big enough forest to fit a few different species and races. It would be a shame if one of them decided some of the creatures were not good enough to live here.

As she continued, the twigs on the ground started becoming more frequent, as did the number of snaps that could be heard under her feet. She wore simple slippers, which worked just fine for her. Most of her money went to new slippers all the time, so she was sure she’d never afford a good pair of footwear. Soon enough, she came up to a small opening, and next thing she knew, a large bow and arrow was being pointed at her. She looked at the centaur with a friendly smile, bowing slightly to show she meant no harm, and that she was one of very few who respected centaurs and other races.

“Good day, centaur.” She greeted, “My name is Lyvian. I am simply exploring, so I mean nobody any harm.” she gracefully leaned up against the tree she stood beside, watching him carefully. There was no use in even getting upset about the arrow being pointed at her. Everyone had their own right to take safety precautions. Also that she had no way of defending herself, other than her quarterstaff. It wouldn’t do much against arrows, though. She did not enjoy fighting or arguing with others in any way, so she hoped this centaur would be kind in return. He would be the first of his kind that she had actually met face to face, but she did a good job of hiding her excitement. First thing was first, she needed to make sure he didn’t mean her any harm, now that she has stated that she came in peace.

Out walked something that took Ajax off guard. He tried to hide his surprise at seeing such a beauty in the forest, but he was sure that he gave himself away.
She looked some what like an elf, but Ajax couldn't be sure. He thought that he know his races fairly well... When one travels the world, you tend to learn races of those who are on the planet with you, do you not?
"Greetings, my lady..."Ajax returned her bow, then walked over to where she was his hooves crunching the little twigs that littered the bed of the forest now.
If Ajax had been younger, he would have tried, to step in the gapes, but he know better now then to act like a fool in front a women. Many things, many things I have learned in the past, but now? I believe I am still to learn what can't be learned. Not all of it, but as much as a brain can take in. At this thought, Ajax looked up at the sky... For a few seconds, he stood there, staring at the sky. Then Ajax remember that he was in company, not on his own, as he used to be!"My name is Ajax Aineistar. You may Alex Star, if that 'tis easier. I, to, mean no harm to thou. " for some reason, that not even now he know, Ajax spoke with more respect for this women then he had to almost any other.
He was interested at the race she was, what with the wings, but the ears through him off a bit. He was almost going to ask, when he changed his mind. There was a movement in the bushes, and then a bunny came out into the open.
Ajax took a side look at Lyvian. He had put his arrow away, but drew it back out at the sight of the bunny. To long, I have gone without food, and here lies a bunny, but would I take its own life for my wants and needs? Thought Ajax. To his surprise, his mothers half answered him...Don't do it, or you may regret it! she warned him. Ajax put his bow down, but did not remove the arrow. With how these woods where acting, he was starting to wish that he hadn't come back at all. His life had been so happy, but now the memories of a past long gone and forgotten by all came through his head. The life that he could have had, the wife, and kids that he left, for adventure. He didn't regret his choice in the end. He know that fate had lead him to his choose, and that fate would take him to his next. He know to well by now, that if you go against the wishes of the being above, that bad things may happen to you.
Age had changed his view of his old home, that was for sure. As the forest changed, so did that of his mind. Ajax used think of happiness, light, joy... But, this forest was showing nothing but dark, old thoughts that Ajax was sure had left his mind forever, and so far from joy, you might have thought it to be hate, but Ajax tried not to hate, so therefore hate was not an opposition for him. Live had taught him many things that can happen if you choose to hate, and not love. Even his own race had showed him that. It just came more so, and more clear, now then ever!
He had no wish to against that of the one above, but he needed to move. Too much for one person to live with.
But, where would he go?
With the way the forest was looking, the village of his home had been taken over. Who knows what rules the forest now. Some creature from the abyss may have taken all that was close to me... And if it did? What could I do? I am nothing to those of a higher rank, or power! Even my mother had more then me!! It was then that Ajax know what to ask this fair madden.
"What being runs this forest now?" Ajax wasn't sure that she know what he meant, but it was wroth the try!
Worst that could happen would be for her to not know what he was talking about. If that was the case, then he would re-phrase his question to one of this time. He know not how to it, but he was good at catching the air of those around him, and he would fall into the rhythm of their voices quit fast... Unless time had changed that too. But could it? Ajax didn't now, but he pushed that thought out of his mind as he watched the women.

“Nice to meet you, Ajax.” She nodded to him, glad that he also meant no harm. It was one of her ways to show others that she had more intelligence than the average elf. She was always looking for a challenge, and since she had already heard him pronounce his name, she didn’t see any use in using the ‘easier’ name. Ajax was a simple enough name, she thought. It was just his last name that she might have difficulty remembering.

She watched as he aimed his arrow at a new target, and smiled when he put his bow back down. There were lots of other animals that could be sacrificed for food. Bunnies were herbivores, so they didn’t have to take lives to stay alive. They didn’t deserve death, like many others did. “If you are hungry, I suggest making the kill more worthwhile, such as a wolf or any other carnivores. I do not have anything against them, but they take lives to live, so it’s only right that somebody takes their life eventually. The circle of life, right?” She didn’t mean this as an evil intention, as she was very much neutral. However, it was just a way of seeing fairness in the world.

There was nothing wrong with that, she thought. There wasn’t much fairness left in the world it seemed, so she figured she’d try to even things out as she made her way across the land. She knew that centaurs were very respectful creatures, so she was sure he might feel the same way.
“I have no idea what being runs this forest, Ajax. If you’re curious, I’m an Avariel Elf. Otherwise, I don’t fully understand what you are asking. This is the first time I’ve been to this forest.”
She answered, hoping she answered the question alright. It seemed that he was from a time long ago, by the way that he spoke, so she wasn’t sure if she should try talking the same way or not. She wasn’t very good at talking in different ways. The only somewhat ‘different way’ that she knew, was speaking the elven tongue. She grew up with a community of moon elves, but she was able to recognize other elven tongue as well.

Just as I thought... Ajax thought to himself. To many years have gone since someone claimed charge... "That was my fear" Ajax whispered. He had little to keep from the women, but he didn't know if she was a spy, or what... "Perhaps I should re-phrase my question?" He asked. Then, Ajax said "What creature is the most populated? I don't know if that means the same, but it shall be close enough to what thy need..."
Ajax turned his head away at thought of eating the bunny, but the point that she made was a good one. Wolves would be better to eat now, and not just because they take the live of a living being to life, they have more meat, more to fill someone then a bunny, that was true.

Ajax turned to the skies. Night was coming. No longer then an hour, at best, till the sky would be black, and the moon would shine bright. Ajax sent a prayer up. He needed some where to stay, food, and something to drink before to long. If nothing else, staying with his sister for the night, or at least with the women. Ajax had no wish to spend the night under the stars again. You can only do that some many times before you get to wet to dare do it again. That was where he was. In the rain, snow, sun, and clouds, Ajax had slept. He knew how to survive in with little eat, in the rain, or in the snow now. Much more then he could do before.
But, now, the thing that he wanted most was a nice bed, with a hot cup of tea, or something, next to him as he sleeps. At the very least, something nicer to sleep on the twigs and leaves for the night!!
The main things you need to survive, Ajax did not have all of. He had no where to stay, no gear for camping, little money to rent out some where, and no bag to keep food or something to drink.
It was a few minutes before Ajax came back to home. When he opened his eyes, he was sitting, arms crossed over he chest, and the sky was painted with the colors of the night. He had wish to leave for night fall, but he had to stay some where. And soon!
"Do you know some where I might get some foods, liquid, and a nights resting place?" Ajax wasn't sure if she know what those words meant in that order, but the meaning behind them was as clear as the moon to him. If worst came to worst-which he hope it didn't!-he was just ask if he might stay the night at Lyvian. He know not where she lived, but it had to be better then sleeping in the rain again.

As Ajax watched, the sky darkened to a dark purple, then blue. In no time, it would be to dark for someone who didn't have night vision to see. And Ajax's wasn't the best at night. He hoped that Lyvian had some where to stay, and just on the bed of the forest!

((Writers block! Arrgg it! I can't think of anything else to put, so... :D Your turn! ))

“Well, I’ve seen a few dark creatures here. Luckily none of them have bothered with me, but I’m sure there’s bound to be one or two that decide to do something about me being here. It’s a pretty dark forest for such a light creature, don’t you think?” she smiled, not sure if she was answering his question, but she was trying her honest best. “The most populated, I’m not sure what they’re called, but they don’t look like very happy little creatures. They seem to have a lot of energy, though.”

As the sun went down, there seemed to be a bit of a glow around her. The glow wasn’t anything like neon lights, but it seemed to add an angelic touch to her appearance, if her feathery wings didn’t. Perhaps it was just her lack of evil doing, or just her mood, but there was definitely a positive aura about her.

Then the question about shelter, food and drinks came around. She didn’t know what to say. “I’m sure there is a kind soul around here somewhere that would allow a small space rental for the night. As far as food goes, I know some places in a nearby village that you could go. I’ll show you there, if you like. I don’t mind. I do not have a place of my own, because I travel so much. I’m usually able to find a place to stay, though. I always keep my coins on me.” She explained, finally shifting her weight to move around a bit. Her one foot was getting a bit tired of holding all her weight, so she started walking around a bit.

Despite the twigs snapping under her steps, she enjoyed the movement of the air around her. Due to all the trees and leaves around her, she had to keep her wings folded neatly so that none of the overhead branches would grab onto the feathers of her wings. “If you don’t mind,” she continued, “we should probably begin the walk to shelter. I was hoping to be out of the forest before dark. It’s not exactly my favourite place to be at night.” She watched the centaur as she elegantly held herself standing still, her posture perfect with her form. She kept one hand on the tree beside her to ensure her balance wasn’t stolen from her.

To his surprise, Ajax wasn't sure about what the creature in the forest was... But, he pushed it out of his head for now. "There are a lot dark creatures here...? Still? I would have thought that Aladin would have taken care of them!" said Ajax... He had no reason to believe that the lazy fool would have taken care of those creatures then, what difference would would well over 15 years make?
"Oh, I know of a place that would take me in without a second though-Ajax head moved, ever so slightly to his sisters house-"But I wouldn't want to take up place some where it could be better used..."
She was right. He could name one place right off the bate that would take him in, but he had promised himself that he wouldn't impose, and take away space from anyone. If he did that, then he would have to make it up to whom every he had stayed with, and he had no money on him. The most he could do would be to catch a wolf, as she had suggested or, to do some running around for them...
Ajax shock his head. She was far to right. Being out at night in this forest wasn't the best thing to do, if the forest holds the same secrets that it had in his days.
And, as this thought went through his mind, the many times that he had been out after dark started to run through it. The screams of birds, howls of animals, and the twigs and such breaking under his hooves, made the forest that much more of treat for the younger ones to run around late... This time year seemed to have most of the younger ones wanting scare themselves silly. Ajax had, at one time, been one of those kids. He and his friends, of the time, went out every day at the end of the summer. They would scare the littler ones with tales of ghosts running a muck in this forest.
As the sun went down, Lyvian got a nice glow around her. She looked like a light in dark... She might know the forest better, but he had an idea about where they could find some where to stay...

"Your right... shelter might be a good idea about now... I've been out, alone for so long by this time, the trees look so different, and yet, the haven't changed one little berry at the same time..." Ajax decided that they best place to start, would be his parents. So, he stood up, and started walking the normal path to his parents home. But, when he got there, the tree was gone. At this point, it was dark. Ajax was so close to turning back and ask his sister for the nights stay.
It was then that he saw an odd looking tree. Clearly it was out of place. The roots where a miss, as though someone had tried to pull in out of the ground, move it, and replace it, but it was tree all the same. Who ever had done this didn't do it right. The tree was dieing. The branches where starting fail one the things that tried to grow on them. The gave under the weight. He was sure that, if one where to pull the fruit from it, the whole branch would follow it...
Ajax walked close, but with cation. He had taken out his bow, and one of better arrows. It was faster, and hit more on target then the other. He held in down, but had it drawn to the tightest so that, if he had to, he could let the arrow go, and, without a doubt, hit his target square. He know that if he walked to fast, or took the wrong step, the wrong message could be given. And he gave the wrong message, then he might not be aloud inside. He needed some where to stay the night. And soon. The moon was all the way up in the sky, as though time where fast forwarding. But, Ajax knew that one can't control time. He took a glance to the sky, and the clouds where moving faster then normal. "Impossible..." Ajax whispered many times...

Lyvian raised an eyebrow, “Sorry, I have no idea who Aladin is.” She said, knowing he didn’t ask her, but it would further show that she was having a hard time seeing where his train of thought was going. “But, you shouldn’t worry about taking up space, Ajax. It’ll only be for the night. If they were to accept one night’s rest, they won’t mind you taking up space.” She explained, hoping it would make him feel a bit better. “Everyone knows that renters take up more space than residents.” She laughed softly, but her smile faded soon enough. It was much too dark to be in that good of a mood.

As they got walking, she couldn’t help but feel like something was following them. Every time she looked behind her, it was like a little blur of grey that kept moving, jumping behind a tree so she couldn’t get a good glance of what it was. Then again, it could have just as easily been her imagination. The forest itself made her nervous enough. Now that it was night time... well, you could only imagine how jumpy she’d be now. She carried a quarterstaff, but she was not very well trained with it. It was given to her as a gift from her mother, and she was never given any reason to use it, so the most she used it for now, was poking or moving things just out of arms reach.

She reached into her little pouch of coins and counted them. She had just enough for the two of them to spend the night somewhere. Of the many places that Lyvian had stayed, she was able to estimate how much it would be for the pair of them to spend one night somewhere. However, that took away money for food. “Where is this place that you know of? Perhaps it’s worth a try, just for one night. We might be lost for the rest of the night in this forest, unless you know your way around really well to get us to the village that’s just a couple of miles from the boundaries of the forest. At least, that was what I saw from the way I entered the forest.”

When they came across the tree that was out of place, she kept walking, not wanting to stop by something that might be made as a trap. “Let’s keep walking. I don’t understand how that tree is still standing with all its roots torn out.” Considering that trees relied on their roots to hold their trunks up, it didn’t make any sense at all, how that tree was standing like that. There had to be a spell on it, or something of the sort that held it up. Then she noticed that the clouds were moving fairly quickly... the faster the clouds moved, the stronger the winds would be. Perhaps they didn’t notice it so much from where they were within the forest. She didn’t find it that strange. “Anything is possible, Ajax.” She forced a smile and gestured for him to follow. “Are you waiting for something?”

Ajax smiled at what she first said... "I am not surprised that you don't know who he is... Must have left a short time after I did. He couldn't stand to anything on his own, and when I told him that I was leaving, he didn't believe. Then, he woke up the day that I had left -the lazy boy, slept until the sun had risen high in the blue above us, I would have thought- didn't see me go. He must have thought that I had gone out to hunt, and followed... But, I have no clue..." He stopped there. To much given away could give himself to all....

He know that if you do it just right, you can get the most expansive place, for the cheapest price... Ajax just, didn't know how to do that. And if he thought that this tree was what it looked like, then there would be no need. "The place I know?" Ajax asked. Should I lie...? Ajax thought. He decided that he best do that. But, later, he thought that it wasn't really a lie, because, he didn't know... "I am not sure where it is to the point. My lead can only take us so far. But, I...I think I might know how owns this tree, right here..." Ajax moved his head in the moonlight, so that she know that he was talking about the odd looking tree.

Without waiting for a response from the women, Ajax moved to the house. Things can be impossible... I have seen such things with my own eyes... He thought to himself...
Ajax was at the door now. He raised his hand to knock, when the door opened. The Centaur that stood before him could not have been thought as any other Centaur...
"It can't be... Mom?" Ajax whispered...
Almost as soon as he was inside, Ajax feel onto his old bed, and feel asleep right away. He had no clue if Lyvian had followed him in, but he thought that he had heard a voice when he walked in. But, with how tired he was, he couldn't be sure

The morning had come. And to Ajax's relief, both of his parents where up to see him off... He had asked them about his new friend, but they had only said that they had seen her last night... Not much help, seeing as you could have seen her from the door, where he had stood.
Ajax walked out of his parents house. The morning was nice and crisp. The smelled as though rain had come through the night before. The air had a nice, sweet smell to it, next to the ran smell. He would have liked to set out right away to see what the forest looked like, and see this village that Lyvian had brought up once or twice last night. But, seeing as he had no clue where she was, he ran around the house a bit, before taking off to take a little walk... Maybe I'll run into her... He thought with a smile. He know that he had to get out now, if the village was the one that he was thinking of. But, for all he know, someone had taken that one, and put up a new, a few miles away...
Then, Ajax realized that he hadn't had anything to eat yet. He headed back to his parents house, hopping to snag something to eat, and maybe something for the road...

“Oh, alright.” Lyvian followed him without questioning him. She wouldn’t have been able to tell whether he was lying or not, but either way, she could tell right away who it was when they walked up to someone’s home, and the door opened. Another centaur. This one had some similarities, though, so she assumed that they were family.

She didn’t get invited in, but she really didn’t want to spend the night outside... in this dark forest... So, she walked up with her hands folded in front of her, and kindly spoke to the centaur who had opened the door. Lyvian spoke with respect and kind words, offering some coins for the duration of her stay. All she asked for was a place indoors to sleep, and that was what she got.

In the morning, she made sure to thank the centaurs for letting her stay. She did not need to sleep long, and she was surprised they were awake when she was ready to leave. If they offered her any food, she denied any offers and simply thanked them again with a kind smile, then made her leave.

She had absolutely no reason to be rude to any creature – especially if she was asking to sleep in their home; under their roof. She didn’t have much more coin to spend, and if she was going to spend it, it would have to be on drinks and food in the village. Lyvian had never received anything for free before, so she always assumed that they would want something in return, and travellers usually gave up coin in return. She believed in favours, to pay back for something, but that didn’t mean everyone else did as well.

During her stay, while she was getting ready to sleep, and getting ready to leave in the morning, she had attempted conversation with the centaurs in hopes to learn something about this forest. They didn’t really say much, and she didn’t want to seem annoying, so once she realised their answers were pretty limited, she didn’t press any more questions.

When she left the next day, she kind of hoped that she’d be able to wish Ajax good luck on his journeys, but he was still sleeping at the time. So, since it was still fairly early in the morning, she explored the forest more, deciding she would leave the forest when the sun was at its highest spot in the sky. She was particularly looking for flowers and weeds that would aid in her healing, but she had not done any research on this, so she was being very picky with what she touched and even moreso on things that she decided to take with her.

She continued around the forest, looking just as beautiful as she was the previous day. Her dress was not wrinkled, and her wings still clean as ever, but her hair was a bit messier. She had borrowed a brush from one of the centaurs so that she could brush out her hair, making it appear just as smooth as silky, but with a bit of a wave to it now, from her tossing and turning.

((It feels short to me!! In my opinion. Sorry...))

Ajax wondered around the forest, looking. He hopped to find either two things. One, he wanted to find Lyvian. And, two, he wanted to find the village. Maybe not in that order, but, that was his hope. This forest looked darker then it had in his days. His hope was that it was just the trees. There where more of them, by the look of it, then there where in his days. But, there was also some sort of spell, it seemed to the Centaur. He had no clue if there really was. And, maybe it was just his mind wondering over the words that had been said the night before. He wasn't sure though.
Every time Ajax looked up at the sky, it seemed to grow that much darker. His hope was that it was mind, playing tricks on him. But, that too, he wasn't sure on.
Ajax wondered around the forest... Maybe for hours. The sky was darker then he had every seen it during the day. He was sure that night hadn't fallen yet. But, with the sky, and your own thoughts to mark time, he wasn't as sure.
Every time Ajax thought he saw some sort of silver, he would look. But, every time, he was wrong. Part of him was thinking that he had just made up the women. But, whenever that thought crossed his mind, he changed it.
It was on one of these many mind changings, that Ajax looked out of the corner of his eye, and saw that one of plants was messing...
A little farther away, another was messing... Did Lyvian say that she was in the study for medication? Ajax thought... He was sure that she had brought it up at some point, but he wasn't sure.
Ajax followed the path of messing plants. He was just starting to think that this was a waste of time when he thought that he saw her.
Ajax walked over to Lyvian. It looked as though she had been the one taking up the plants. As he walked closer, all the twigs seemed to have disappeared So, therefore, he was making no noise as he walked close to the women.
"Greetings, me-lady... Would you like to go the village with me? I am need to get some supplies, and I don't know the way..." Ajax asked... He was being a gentlemen, and asking, to telling, but asking the women to come with him. She had full rights to say no.
Just as he said this, the first drops of rain started to fall....

These plants were nothing like what Lyvian had seen in other villages or forests. She was indeed trying to study plants, herbs, and perhaps even other spells having to do with healing and treating. It was just taking her a long time, because she didn’t know anybody who was already talented in the field. Perhaps her family and the other elves that she grew up with, would know more about it, but that was one direction she swore not to go.

So, she was right in one respect. She thought she had heard the thud of hooves on the ground, and without having to turning around, she recognized his voice. “Oh, hello Ajax. It’s nice to see you again.” She greeted, standing up from the plant she was just studying as he asked her if she wanted to go to town with him. “Actually, I’m going to stay here a while longer. I don’t really want to go to town just yet. I’ll definitely be going to town before dark, though. I do not want to be stuck here over night again. Especially not if it rains.”

Then, of course, she started to feel the rain on her arms. Perhaps she should go to town and find a place to stay until the rain stopped. First, however, she had to find her familiar. It had been a while since she saw him. She looked up to the sky with her eyes closed, and made a loud but smooth whistle. A few minutes later, a falcon came swooping down, and perched on her shoulder. Her cloak was the only thing protecting her shoulder from the falcon’s sharp claws.

Opening her eyes, she then explained to Ajax the way she knew how to get to the closest village, then smiled and made a slight bow to him, “It was very nice meeting you, centaur. Perhaps we will meet again in the future.” The winged elf then turned, and slowly walked in the other direction, looking for more of the same plant she was currently holding, and other weird looking plants and flowers. The falcon remained on her shoulder the entire time, moving from shoulder to shoulder every once in a while...
