Just being with Kaess was enough to annoy Shalia during this mission, but others had to join. The ranger twins did not bother her in the least, the cleric…well that would depend on what god she served. The paladin on the other hand…made her skin itch. She hated paladins and gave him just as many sharp glares as her gave her. She knew he did not trust her, and she did not hid the fact that she did not trust him.

When the got to their destination she got an odd feeling that something bad was about to happen. No sooner than the though passed through her mind did the door burst with light. When her eyes cleared she realized that everyone had had their gender changed. The men who had been turned into women seemed to be struggeling with the notion. When she saw the paladin, she could not help but keep a slight smirk off her face. Lets see how well that overly polished armor faired for him now.

Shalia found her own body a bit odd. She was overly muscled and could tell that she would not be able to move at the speed she was use too. The imp seemed to have altered the spell to make them take upon impracticle forms of the opposite gender.
But to her it did not matter what body she was in, she was going to fight all the same. As the imp poured from the house she pulled her sword from its shealth and dropped into a fighting stance. She was slower than she was use to, but also found that her attacks were more powerful. Still it would take her some time to get use to fighting in this body.

Kaess was annoyed at the effect on his movements that his new attributes had. They just wouldn’t hold still and kept trying to throw him off balance. His own skill seemed to be able to keep his steady, but he just couldn’t slash these imps easily and each miss caused his oversized chest to slam back into him uncomfortably. He expected what little remained of his shirt would tear away if he kept fighting at full speed.

He decided that it would make more sense just to use magic in this case. He fell to defending from the small blows, letting his scales block most of the damage, as he let his blood boil. He waited for a good group to form up and beat his wings knocking them down with a strong gale force winds. He then took a breath finding it was even harder to breath with the weight on his chest, but he managed to breathe out draconic flames anyways. The flames burnt the imps to cinders some of it still burning on the stone ground.

He noted that the paladin could do much of anything and the cleric was healing the multitude of tiny wounds that might have downed the rangers, but was obviously not having an easy time of it as her own armor was digging into her skin and she couldn’t get it off. The rangers were fighting, but not as well as Shalia for the moment. Kaess let his magic come as he formed a counter to the magic used on them. It took him a bit to unleash it, but when he did he found he had only taken a top layer enchantment off them. The magic was present though and even this enchantment was wearing off slowly. He soon felt his chest shrink a bit and realized that he had taken off the impracticality part of the spell. Soon at least they all could fight properly. They would still be the opposite genders until they could dispel the other part of this trap. Soon his attention was back on imps as more flew towards him to attack.

Shalia had to admit she was glad when Kaess was able to reduce the effects of the enchantment. Her muscles shrunk and she now became a much slimmer man. Much to a nearby imp’s dismay, this also meant she had regained some of the speed she was use to in her female body. The annoying little creature fell to the ground as she sliced through its wing.

She shot a glare over at the paladin. “Stop gawking at your female anatomy and make yourself useful by smiting something,” she snapped at him/her.

She could not stand ‘holy warriors.’ They always judged before using their brains and often were more of a hindrance than a help in battle. She could only imagine what was going through the holy one’s pure mind right now…having suddenly found himself a woman.

As the battle went on, she looked back to the house. Her instinct told her that the source of this annoying spell was still within that building. No mere imp could pull something like this off. After she cut down another one of the bat winged creatures she made a bolt for the door. She was going to force whatever leader these imps had out into the open.

“Cover me, half-dragon,” she said. “I’m taking the battle to their leader.”

Without waiting for an answer from Kaess she barged through the door to see what she would find on the other side…

The group kept fighting, but the paladin was outraged. He still was having trouble moving as he just didn't have enough padding in the right spots to make any movement comfortable in the heavy armor. Still Shalia's jab at him seemed to anger him more. He let off a small burst of holly power banishing a small group of Imps and turned to smite her in return for the insult.

Kaess was glad to be able to move at least closer to normal and heard Shalia speak about covering her and saw the paladin moving in for a strike with several imps. He moved quickly disarming him/her with a kick and tripping him/her to the ground. He then moved to take out an imps aiming for her. A few small ones got by, but nothing that would distract her too much. The paladin crashed to the ground with a clang and the impact seemed to stun him/her. However, Kaess also noted another spell being weaved into the existing one. He continued to fight as it took affect.

This one seemed to be slowly changing their clothing into forms that was more appropriate for their sex, but was also becoming more revealing, sexy and less practical for combat. It didn't slow him down to much more, but as the things got tighter it certainly was embarrassing.

Inside the place it would take a few minutes, but Shalia would find an imp that was about half her size wearing a crown. He was clearly protected by demonic wards, but the imp had made a critical mistake if she was familiar with the runes surrounding him. It did not stop those with demonic blood from attacking. The clothing spell finished he would glance up at her. "Oh one of my toys, I know what to do now." He launched another spell that when it hit her would turn her back to a female, but sexier closer to a succubus in form and the clothes would change with it, but by the time it was finished she would probably have finished him off. The spells would not end though seemingly stuck to them for the moment. The imps would scatter back to hells as soon as she finished him off. If she cut off his head it would hold a smile, with just a hint of shock at the last moments.

The fact that the paladin tried to smite her was not lost on Shalia. She would make that fool pay for his insolence later…but first she had an imp to deal with. As she barged through the door she saw the creature there. A large imp with a crown that made him look ridiculous…but since it was an imp, that was likely the point.

The creature may be an imp ‘king’, but it was still an imp and nothing compared to the demons she was use to dealing with. Her lavender eyes flashed to the runes for a brief second. Demonic runes, and somewhat powerful ones at that. Had any other person come through this door, they would not have been able to get past the runes easily. A smirk crossed her masculine face as she charged on, the demonic magic of the runes would have no effect on her.

The imp turned to her and started casting a spell, and gleeful look on his face. She felt a change come over her as she came upon the imp. The imp gleeful look began to vanish as he came to realize that his foe was one of demon blood. A quick swing of her sword and the imps head feel to the ground his face still holding that gleeful grin, but his eyes wide in surprise.

It was now that she looked down at herself and saw the effects the imp’s spell had. She was a woman again, but far more beautiful than she normally was. Also her clothing was tight, and left little to the imagination. She figured even a succubus would be envious of her current form.

The high pitched screaks from outside told her the remaining imps were running for their lives. Minions were often like that, brave only up to the point their master was killed. Without their king the imps had little wish to remain with an angry group of adventures.

A she walked back out of the building she sheathed her sword. She walked right past Kaess not even looking to see if he took note of her changed body. Instead she walked right over to the paladin, who had only just began to bring himself/herself off the ground. The paladin looked up at Shalia just in time to find her knee connect with his/her chin.

“You do NOT try an smite those who fight with you!,” she snapped. “I’d rather have a balor in front of me, than someone like you behind me!”

Kaess was surprised as the imps started to disperse, but then he realized that Shalia must have found a leader of some sort. He still found that he hadn’t changed back though, it felt like the magic was lingering. He saw Shalia come out a bit different and was too stunned to attempt to stop her. His own clothes were also awkward and distracting him a bit, because as they were barely more than strips of cloth now tied in the loose form of skimpy under clothes.

Others around weren’t doing much better, but the paladin let out a high pitched yelp as he/she was kneed by Shalia. He/she fell back on top of his own sword and there was a snapping sound from behind her. He/she got back up looking intent on retaliating, but the snapping sound had been the now thing straps that held on her armor. They all fell to the ground in a clatter. “Why you filthy ….. eppp… I um …. Uh you will regret this day demon you will….” He/she was soon blushing furiously and without any more words ran in her now high healed metal shoes the only clothing that was left on him/her. Soon the paladin had disappeared into the ruins.

Kaess sighed, “Well that could have gone better.” Not able to really look at Shalia too much as it brought familiar feelings, but odd reactions to them he wasn’t used too. “Um…. Well we better work on trying to untangle this spell…. Um yeah.” He soon was working with the cleric and they worked their way through the threads of magic.

It took some time, but between the two of them they untangled some of the knots so the spell would start to unravel itself it seemed the clothing change was unraveling first, which Kaess was glad of. It was bad enough being a woman, but he just couldn’t help being embarrassed at the clothing. Still it was going to be pretty skimpy clothing for at least the rest of the day. Trying to put on new clothes would just change those too at least until the end of the day. “Well that is the best we can do at least the magic will go away with time, though I don’t know how long that will be. We better get back and report…. Good grief this will be embaressing.”

They would manage to get back without incident and soon workers were retrieving that lost goods after other’s made sure the place was safe, they even found several things from other projects around the city and sent them back to their respective places. Soon construction would be in full swing again.

As for Kaess he was both curious and embarrassed about his new body not entirely sure what to do. It also didn't help that he was attracting a few looks, but staying near Shalia reduced that as more were looking at her than him/her. At least he didn’t have to work again today. He also found the spell hadn’t affected his mind since he was still attracted to Shalia, but it didn’t help that everything still felt weird. It was evening when he got up the courage to talk to her. Still looking embaressed and blushing at how beautiful she looked. Then again she had always looked beautiful to him, so it wasn't much of a difference in her affect on him. “So um well I don’t really know anything about this body. Is there any advice you can give on such things, since I think I am stuck like this for a time?”
