Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Brahms enjoyed her disgsted face, she would certainly try to spat at him again, since the beginning she was standing her ground. As she moved to spat back, he brougth his face to her's opened his mouth and ate the thrown saliva. Just to his own fun he widely smiled at her, showing off his white teeth, almost like those of a wolf. Which, even for most lycan, was strange. Then his face changed as he listened to Ulfr.

The kid made a good point. Anyway even if half the mere mortals were getting evolved, the other half killed, there would be the other dimensions to expand on. Like the shadow planes, the demon realm and the celestial realm. And perhaps, with that...he could... Become a god. God of the Nigth. Sounded good enough.

But still then, he would need to tolerate more vampires. It was so easy for the white pup. Perhaps it was because Brahms was an Alpha. So the genetical memory would affect him more. But how could he gues such complicated matter? He could not. He just did not understand why Ulfr was tolerating that blood sucker more then he was...not that it was quite difficult.

''I think i know more why i want you as my rigth arm now. You're pretty smart.''Even though she spoke the bulky lycan glared at the wannabe vampire. Pathetic,he would need to find a vampire to train this one? Even if he placed his différences aside, would the vampire comply? ''Say blo... Baby,He said trying to holding himself to call her names. If we get ya that vampire, what makes us believe that you won't side with him to take us down. Knowing your kind, they would want to get the necessary efforts to stop and destroy us.''

And what presume that she won't flee once her training done?

Ulfr understood Brahms’ toothy grin to be apologetic, as that was what wolves did. However, it had a completely different meaning when one was growling.

It seemed to Ulfr that he was winning Brahms over, as he told Ulfr he was beginning to see why he wanted Ulfr by his side. Because he was smart. More evidence of this was that Brahms stifled a insulting name to the vampire. But he did make a good point.

''Say blo... Baby, If we get ya that vampire, what makes us believe that you won't side with him to take us down. Knowing your kind, they would want to get the necessary efforts to stop and destroy us.''

Ulfr looked down at the floor, his eyebrows furrowed in thought. It seemed to him that most lycans, vampires, and other were like creatures weren’t born into it like he was. As for training, well, if it counted, he was raised by wolves. He never had any other werewolf around to mentor him, or to coach him through what was to come. He simply learned on his own.

If I may, I’ve noticed that those who are like we are, he began, swiveling his hand to incorporate all three of them in “we”, That most were changed during their lifetime. I was born a werewolf, as my mother was. My father was human, and it may be from him that I tolerate people, which is probably the only way I would have thought of what I did just then. But that is beside the point. If you are looking for an allowance for her trust, Brahms, it may be in what the union has to offer our kind. Acceptance. It is rare to find it from someone who isn’t like us. Safety in numbers would be another reason, though I’m not saying that’s necessarily required.

Ulfr turned once again to the vampire, saying, I’m sure your not exactly pleased with what that one vampire did to you, then leaving you in the dark. While it would be possible to learn on your own, it would be beneficial for you to have a mentor of some sorts. Otherwise you could wind up being a liability to your own survival. For example, you could accidentally walk into a situation that wouldn’t bother a regular person, but for you it for you it could mean death.

He paused, taking a moment to breathe.

Now then, who is up for introductions? I think the conversation may prove to run a bit smoother with that out of the way, get rid of that “stranger” feeling, eh?

When the werewolf swallowed the spit, all she felt like doing was throwing up. She thought that was just vile. She would never have expected anyone to do that. Not even a filthy animal. “You know, not every single vampire has the exact same opinion about werewolves. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe some of them don’t give a flyin’ word about the past? I’ve never had anything against werewolves until you came along! You’re the only one giving me reason to turn my back after I find a vampire to help me out!” she snapped, not entirely sure about what she thought about being called baby.

“IF I were to ever try taking anyone down, it would be you!” she said, glaring at him, already resisting the idea of being one of these werewolves’ so-called followers. “So when are you going to cut the crap and just tell me what you could possibly want me for? I was already looking for a mentor, so there’s no need for explanations of the benefits I would get from it. It would be really great if you could hurry up and find me somebody, because at least once a week, I black out and wake up the next morning with blood all over me and a disgusting metallic taste in my mouth.” She snapped at them, obviously getting really impatient with all their discussion.

It was against her beliefs to follow whatever it was these werewolves wanted. If she had any choice in the matter, there wouldn’t be any way that she’d be swayed by their temptations, or whatever it is they’d be doing... with their evil...ness...

She crossed her arms, tucking a lock of red hair behind one of her ears, and exchanged looks between them. She watched their reactions, not daring to say her name yet. She’d wait until they introduced themselves first, and she was not going to fall for any of that ‘ladies first’ crap. She tapped her foot, leaning her weight to the foot that she wasn’t tapping, waiting impatiently for any answers, half expecting the larger werewolf to snap right back at her, possibly even grabbing at her neck...

Brahms was trying hard to be nice and cooperative, why wasn't she trying? Oh wow, and so it was his fault to have an instinct that told him of an archenemy? An archenemy who, with real power would have fougth either werewolf without expecting a friendly chat like this one? It was his fault to mistrust vampires so much? Because he was following what he was tougth when younger? This master told him about the hatred of the two races, the slaving life lycan had thanks to them? Oh rigth, she wasn't told anything! She was just but a wannabe!

''Listen girl, will ya shuddup? If it wasn't Ulfr here, i would have killed ya one da' spot! How about some respect? I'd be curious to have one of yer kind figthing by my side...

He clenched his fists, restraining himself to grab her by the throat. Patience was not his quality, and neither was she. Who will blow up first? The Alpha werewolf was growing thick hair on his arms, so if he did blow up out of rage. She migth suffer.

''I want lycans, i mean nigth creatures to rule this pathetic world of ligthseekers. Ya know, those goodie-two shoes who thinks of the law of the fittest as nothing. Yet, they use all their migth on us! I want to make them taste their own medecine!''

His breathing was getting more intense. He was about to lose it,he was a figther, not a diplomate. If no one would calm down in any way, any good way, Brahms he would make an anger release on the bloodsucker.

This was getting bad fast, and Ulfr was beginning to get anxious. Brahms was about to go off, his werewolf form was starting to push through; fur was already growing on is arms. It didn't help at all that the woman seemed to just as much as a hot-head.

Why couldn't she understand that he had said all this to protect her from harm? If he hadn't had spoken up for her, Brahms would have disemboweled her already. Heck, he'd be using her finger as a toothpick.

Careful Ulfr, I wouldn't want you to be knocked out, ha, hahaha! No, I wouldn't want to have to, ah, play puppet master! Sithis cackled as Ulfr hurriedly stepped between the two of them, bracing him arms in a position that would allow for a quick shove in the opposite direction if one of them should try to attack.

How well that would work, however, was yet to be determined.

Calm down, both of you, he said to them, turning his head back and forth to face both of them an equal amount, watching for any elevated aggression. Fighting will accomplish nothing. Let's be civil, shall we? Do we not already have enough enemies? If we can't get along, we can't work together. This idea would fail.
And we want nothing more than to be teammates,
he directed the last sentence at the vampire.

If we can't make friends because of our differences, how can we not have anything but enemies? Though the general impression is that dogs chase cats, they have been known to coincide in the same household. Think about it. We can each other better alive if we were dead.

Now then, to start the introductions, I am Ulfr.
He turned to Brahms, saying If you don't tell her your name, I will. To the vampire, And your name would be...?

She glared at the werewolf, not even seeming to care that his wolf side was surfacing. “Why would you want any vampires ‘fighting by your side’ if you would normally kill them? Can’t be allies with something you hate so much! I wouldn’t fight anyone for you if my life depended on it!” she snapped, insisting to not get along with him. He seemed like nothing but a jerk, so she wanted to walk away from this, but she knew it wouldn’t work that way. She knew she would get killed if she didn’t help them, so she crossed her arms, forcing herself to calm down so she could think properly.

She was still waiting for that nice wolf to tell her what his idea was, how she could possibly help them if they help her. When he moved between them, she stepped back again, leaning against the wall behind her. She watched the werewolves as the one explained about allies and enemies. She had to admit he made sense about it. With her arms still crossed, she took in a deep breath and finally introduced herself. “I am Krysteen, or you may call me Klesci if you wish. One of the two is fine.” She said, really hoping the one werewolf was mature enough to call her one of the two names. At least now she knew the nicer wolf’s name was Ulfr. At least now... she knew Ulfr had no interest in harming her...

So she would not figth for him, huh? He closed his eyes as as Ulfr got between the two, he was not listening, his animal rage was taking over. If she would not figth for him while beeing diplomatic, he had one option left. It was simple, biting her. No one knows how well lycan blood and vampire blood reacts together. Little did he knew that the magical blood of a dragon inside this young looking woman might change his thinking. Either she would obey, whatever she was mutating into, or else she dies because of it.

Brahms open his eyes, it was not quite his, but his deepest, beasty self. They were one and the same, so it was not the problem, it was simply moer impulsive.
''Ulfr...,He said slowly and deeply.OUTTA WAY!!''As he barked his threat he violently shapeshifted, taking the white lycan's arms and pushing him meters away. Then he fell on his target with all of his weigth, half a ton if not a bit more. His roughly bite into the shoulder of Klesco and even took a part of her muscle. If sshe was surviving the transformation, she would regenerate if not....

He got up and left the woman, munching the muscle, all bloodied in his mouth, he smiled at Ulfr.
''Sorry 'bout that. But...hey, if she survive the infection, she will be our new lad.''

Ulfr had barely any warning whatsoever as Brahms shoved him out of the way. Even though he had been braced, he had forgotten just how big Brahms was. So out of the Ulfr went.

If she screamed, he didn't hear it, as Ulfr was busy swearing at Sithis, telling him to shut up and to quit laughing. By the time he had forced Sithis into submission for the time being, Brahms had already gotten of the vampire, who had introduced herself as either Krysteen or Klesci, it was at their preference.

Brahms! Come on! I swear you have the patience the size of a pinky finger!

He rushed over to Klesci, whose shoulder was profusely bleeding. Luckily, that would allow for any bacteria from the bite to most likely flow out. But this would need healing; and Ulfr didn't trust Brahms patience.

Ulfr put his arm underneath the woman, supporting her. Another stroke of luck was that the bite was slightly to the right, just enough that it more so on her right arm than it was the top of her chest. Ripping of a piece of her already torn sleeve off, he wrapped it around under her armpit and where her collar bone began, attempting at cutting off circulation, so as to prevent whatever bacteria was left.

She has already had one forced transformation Brahms, pretty sure she wouldn't like another one. And besides, force and violence do not buy loyalty, only obedience for a little while. He then turned to Klesci, saying If you need any blood, you may have some of mine. Just ask.

Closing his eyes, Ulfr began to focus the energy that was required for the spell he was about to do. His left hand began to glow a faint green, and he placed it on her injury. Heal, he muttered, and the flesh began to repair itself, until finally it had finished. Trust me, he said to her quietly, as he helped her to her feet, and stood in front of her. He had no idea how Brahms would react to him healing her, whether it will be with anger or with applause on his patience. Either way, he held her forearm, so as to quickly teleport with her should Brahms go off again.

Edging away from Brahms with her in tow, he asked Now, do either of you remember what I was saying?

When she saw him shove his comrade out of the way and charge toward her, she tried jumping out of the way, but by then it was much too late. He already had her pinned to the ground and his jaws stole a chunk of muscle. She screamed in pain, noticing right away it hurt a whole lot more than the vampire’s bite. Her eyes kind of glazed over in tears as she took in the realization of what he just did. For all he knew, that was the easiest way to kill her. For all she knew, he could have killed her already if he really wanted to. Maybe he really was wanting her to fight by his side...

Then, Ulfr put his arm around her to help her sit up. She winced, as the movement really hurt her arm now. She let him do his thing with her already torn sleeve, and agreed with him that forced transformation would not buy loyalty. He’d be lucky if he even got obedience from her. She got a bit nervous when Ulfr’s hand started to glow, but she was able to hear him when he muttered, so she stopped being nervous about whatever it was he was doing, which now she knew that he was healing the wound that Brahms had created.

Neither of them did ever tell her the larger wolf’s name, but she had heard Ulfr blurt it out at him after he attacked her, so she remembered it from that moment. When she got up, her eyes started turning a brighter blue, showing that her bloodlust was starting to surface again. She glared at Brahms, shaking her head at Ulfr’s offer for her to drink his blood. “I wouldn’t drink anyone’s blood if I had any choice in it.” She said, her voice matter-of-fact and sounding a bit angry as well.

“Something about getting over differences...” her eyes were still locked on Brahms, obviously angry at the wolf. Without thinking a second more about it, despite the wound that was still healing on her arm, she lunged at the werewolf, having her vampire speed and strength with her, now that her mind was clogged with bloodlust. Her mind and all common sense seemed to disappear as her need for blood got higher... aiming to at least bite the beast once... but her goal was to kill him, not make him transform...
