| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Or the paladins would kill you, boy... Melmoth did not understand the supposedly 'good' warriors that were paladins. He understood good, having been that way once, an age or two ago. Their brand, however did not seem to go well with most other good people, and at times was distinguishable from evil only in intent, and questionable intents at that. 'Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster' He couldn't resist a grin at the thought, and was glad Daelen was turned away, unable to see his secret mirth. That he wanted to borrow the old gray cloak was no surprise. Without transformative magics, a cloak was about as good a disguise as a winged demon could expect. That cloak was not an ordinary example of the type, though. "Aye, take the cloak. Know, however, that it is a Phantom Cloak. While you wear it, you are a ghost, able to pass through most materials and fly. It should speed up your journey, but know also that it can only be taken off under the light of the sun. Take it off before you go after the portal." He considered telling Daelen to dump the cloak in his room at the guild, but finding that room was difficult, to say the least. When he needed the cloak next, he would find it at the guildhall, or on Daelen. It would work out, one way or the other. |

His mind rest assured when he heared about the cloak and its functions. It would be a great aid in his travel to the guildhall. "Thanks, this will help me to get there without allot of problems. I will leave it at the guild for you, I plan to buy my own gear once I have setteld in at the guild and did some training." I guess I will bid you a farewell then, it is time for me to start walking toward the portal. Come see me if you are in the neighbourhood or if you need help with something" he said as he curled his wings around his waist and placed the cloak over them. It was a very good cloak indeed, the moment he had put it over his shoulders he had felt a change, most likely the effect Melmoth had talked about. His entire mental checklist had been filled; The dagger strapped to his leg, the cloak around his body and the hood ready to be placed over his head when the two demons would part their ways. He stood ready to leave, mind set to the future, mind set to new powers... |
