| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

AD sat on the stone wall edging the city right here. The wall was new, not even a month old. It created a border to keep curious pets and children from accidentally tumbling over. She was not worried about falling. Instead her eyes were set on the rising of the sun. The sky turned from deep purple to navy, then the blue of false dawn. Bit by bit the reds, oranges, and yellows crept into the sky. The few clouds glowed brightly in the rising dawn's light. Behind her she heard the city waking up. The shouts of fresh bread and other goods filled the air slowly but surely as the sun before her rose. It was in interesting a puzzling situation. The cycle of sleeping, waking, and then going back to sleep was always a curiosity to her. What use was sleep? What was the point of a dream or a nightmare? She had meet a nightmare before. The being kind, not the horse kine. He was a good friend. She sighed and turned to face the city, swinging her feet over the wall. The place was too busy for her to feel like exploring. She would have to wait for the busyness of morning to pass. So she kept herself on her perch on the wall. |

Evals waited outside a Blacksmith's shop. She had asked him to see if he could reserve the positive and holy energy that flowed in the sword into negative and unholy energy. Turn an Angelic Blade into a Demonic Blade. He had told her that he most likely couldn't do anything to it but he would try. She supposed he would only try for the chance to work on such a weapon and the amount of money she was offering on the job. She was told to come back in a week, and now she waited for his shop to open. When it finally did, she went inside and asked for the blade whatever it was done or not. She didn't feel like leaving it with this person too long. He agreed and brought it out and laid it on the table. Before he could say anything she went to pick it up, and she was burned to the touch. It was painful and she shook her hand at the holy burn. The pain was gone then, it was only a touch. 'I apologise, I was unable to do anything to the blade but maybe I could recommend someone better than myself?' The blacksmith told her. At the annoyance of being burned and the fact he wasted a week of her time had irritated the undead girl. Picking up the blade in front of her, her flesh sizzled painfully. She brought it around and jabbed into the chest of the blacksmith. He coughed up blood and fell onto the floor clutching at his chest. He was damning her as she dropped the blade in pain. Holy pain radiated thorough her entire arm and she looked at her hand. Some parts were burnt down to the bones from holding it too much. She twitched her fingers and spoke a word in the spider's tongue, using Mend Undead she healed the flesh slowly. The pain was still fading. By the time she obtained a thick cloth to wrap the blade in the blacksmith was already dead. She continued to wrap the blade in cloth and tie string around it. She held it close to her on her side with one arm. She walked outside and saw someone in Guard-looking armour walk in after her. After a few words of confusion the Guard came back and ran in front of her, with his hand on his sword ready to draw it if needed. He started to say something that she had to be questioned about the Blacksmith's death. She only whispered again in the spider tongue as she used her Draconic Might ability. She didn't want to deal with the justice system at the moment. She quickly pushed her hand out and sent the guard flying away from her until he smashed into and threw a wall, where he promptly fell off of the city. The spell faded by the time Evals got to the wall. There was only one other person nearby and if there weren't anymore witnesses she wouldn't have to deal with more law enforcers coming after her. The undead pointed at the women who was sitting on the wall nearby. "You saw nothing, right?" Evals said and making it like a request. Killing three people in one day wasn't her thing unless she had to do it, like now when she had to kill one and wanted to kill another out of anger. She moved the clothed blade a bit so it wasn't falling to the side. |

Aether Draka's gaze followed the guard's decent for a moment before going back to the figure who had caused the tragic fall. There was a slight smile on AD's face as the girl asked her question. It caused a sparkle in Aether Draka's eyes. "Oh I saw quite a bit. The real question is weather or not I care." She stood up and walked along the edge of the wall towards the new hole. Stopping at the edge of a still loose stone. AD was not wearing any armor and did not seem even armed. She wore a bit of jewelry and some not quite well traveled in clothing. In face, some bits of her outfit looked new. On her hip was a single bag. Apparently her only possessions lay in that bag. The appearance AD favored simply because it was disarming. She was not the type to boast or show off. She knew she had power and she knew when to use it and when to simply leave. She was however curious about why the man had been so quickly dealt with. Then there was a slight change in the wind and the smell of blood drifted on it. Death as well. It was then that AD actually smiled. Not the dark smile many with demonic blood used, but a true and honist smile. "A good hit though. He must have done something to make you mad. Anything to do with that bundle of yours?" |

Evals would've rolled her eyes if anything, but it was useless considering the fact that her entire eye was white. "So I'll take it as an assumption that you don't care?" Evals asked and took a glance through the gaping hole in the wall. The clouds were even below them in Cascadia. They were lower clouds but still. The man was surely dead. She was about to leave and go on with her own business and maybe avoid anymore Guards just incase they somehow got word that she was the killer of a Blacksmith and and another Guard. It was doubtful but she was just being prepared. By the time she was about to check where her ride was, the woman asked her another question. "No, not really." She said and thought about it, the Guard didn't really do anything wrong just that Evals wasn't being a cooperative person. "He was only doing his job." She added in casually. He could've been one of those Guards nobody enjoyed or a really nice guy, ah well she wouldn't know now. Not like she truly cared either. "I just wasn't in the mood to deal with the justice system and then be processed and jailed. Then having to pay bail and then just not show up for anymore of it and then ignored the people that come looking for me." She said with a visible shrug of her shoulders. "I only killed a man who was useless to me to start with." Evals added noting that the Blacksmith was probably in a better place, unless being killed by an Angelic Blade sent someone to the Abyss with Holy Judgment. That would actually be pretty cool if it did. She would have to kill something with it again and then go check the Abyss. |

"I could care less about who he was, though I'm sure he will be on a missing list long before they find out what happened to him. Who in there right mind would want to be a guard?" She asked, hopping off the wall and landing on the 'ground'. "I normally don't bother with the possessing unless I think I can prove them wrong. Never been in jail or had to pay bail. Never sounded like any fun to me. Though I think Rothardan might be mad at me about that..." The last comment was more to herself then to anyone else. Either way, AD shrugged it off. "I know a handful or so of useful people. What sort of useful thing are you hoping to find?" AD was actually more curious then trying to be helpful. She had taken a liking to this stranger's opinion of guards. As a rogue herself before discovering magic, she had always been against the city guards. Even when she had been fighting along side angels, they always seemed to come after her for things. Guard was not a profession AD liked and was more then happy to be rid of when possible. |
