Bleached Badlands

The Ivory Maze is a sprawling landscape, worn by wind and water. There are two general regions, one being the Ivory Maze Highlands and the second being the Ivory Maze proper. The Ivory Maze itself is a land of canyons, streams and the mighty Winding River. The canyons vary from massive gorges such as the one at Victory Falls to tight, winding slot canyons that can at most accommodate one abreast. Rushing water plays host to small riparian areas and lush trees and plants in the more mellow currents. A few lakes dot the region. Caves litter this fragile landscape of stark white stone. There is plenty of animal life in this region, but the sentient life is rooted in the Ivory League's regular patrols to root out undead and bandits.

The Ivory Maze Highlands is an entirely different area, one of mesas and massive white stone towers. The Cathedral of Talons is a series of humongous standing stones in a slow running wetland that feeds into the furious Winding River. Hundreds of avian creatures, from the brilliant monastic crow to a small rookery of pygmy rocs, make this place home. Further into the hills lies the bizarre landscape of the Iron Forest, a wasteland changed by the lightning dragon Telmerion, the Feral King. This is a hostile place full of dangerous, untamed wildlife. To this day, the Ivory Maze still rejects those that do not live within it. Beasts stalk interlopers whenever the Ivory League's scouts and airships do not.
