January 22 Gray Days You must say 'Thank You' on the grayest days. Be not afraid. I am you God, your Deliverer. From all evil, I will deliver you. Trust Me. Fear not. Never forget your "Thank you." Do you not see it is a lesson? You MUST say "Thank You" on the grayest days. You MUST do it. All cannot be light unless you do. There is gray-day practice. It is absolutely necessary. My death upon the Cross was not only necessary to save a world, it was necessary if only to train My disciples. It was all a part of their training: My entering Jerusalem in triumph; My washing the disciples' feet; My sorrow-time in Gethsemane; My being despised, judged, crucified, buried. Every step was necessary to their development - and so with you. If a gray day is not one of thankfulness, the lesson has to be repeated until it is. Not to everyone is it so. But only to those who ask to serve Me well, and to do much for Me. A great work requires a great and careful training. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." - Isaiah 41:10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show God Calling on your website from Advent Digital |

I'm hearing this..not so easily does thankfulness (praise) flow from my mouth on a grey day God forgive me and thank you Lord ..your mercies are new to us every morning great is your faithfulness to us.Everything that you went through for us because you love us you endured. Thanks be to God! Isaiah 41:10 is a favorite of mine when I had depression and the anxiety attacks I found alot of comfort in that promise time and time again. :goodpost: Editor |

I amen your prayer, JIL. I have had to repeat gray days for extended periods because of my lack of gratitude, especially the overall picture. When we wonder (and we all have at some time) why is God allowing me to go through this, we have to know that it is so He can get our, 1Th 5:18 "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward." |

Delight Yourself in the Lord By: Vonette Bright "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4) Shirley's life was one hurt after the other. Two divorces and the challenges of a blind son had left her aching to be happy. One day as she read the Bible verse: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" she decided to do exactly what it says. Delight in the Lord! She began praising God - no matter what happened. The car wouldn't start. Praise God. Her boss was unreasonable that day. Praise to You, Lord. It wasn't long before the "desires" of her heart began to change. Did she suddenly have a wonderful marriage? A son easy to rear? No. She discovered the joy of God's love and His "blessings" on her life - despite the circumstances. Dear one, delight in the Lord. He will give you the desires of your heart. |

Gray Days..Excellent read..just what I needed today. I have had a "gray" weekend to say the least. With this stomach bug going through my house.. I have done nothing but sleep my weekend away..What an awful feeling! But.. Maybe that was the Lord showing me I do too much and am run down..maybe I needed to put everything on hold and take care of myself. Another good thing I got from this gray weekend was..the only things I have eaten all weekend were wheat toast soup and gatoraide. So I'm thinking this could be a fresh start for me diet wise. I have pretty much detoxed myself of bad food..literally LOL and now I can hopefully introduce only healthy food in my body slowly..Though any food at all right now is making my stomach turn. So I thank the Lord for this weekend.. Because it was probably overdue...and much needed. And now back to life! |

It really is.. Sometimes we forget to look for the blessings behind both the good and the bad.. what a great reminder that post was for us all. |

Because you sought--you found. It is true there is a blessing for everything. You kick started your diet! :) I know illness is not desirable, but sometimes God has to knick away at our comfort zones. |
