As 2005 draws to a close I start thinking of things I'd like to improve in 2006.
What are your goals for 2006?

I never set goals, but this year I am. I am going to deal with self-esteem issues and claiming my heritage in Christ. And I am going to deal with my weight and hopefully reach goal.

My goals for 2006 are to cultivate self control, faithfulness, endurance. I would like to reach all of my goals this year in weight loss. I also have some issues that need addressing, I want to be free of the weight and the bondage that the weight brings. In Christ Iam an overcomer to overcome means to win. How can I win this battle and not lose the weight? The results of winning this battle is to lose the weight. Greater is he that is in me than He that is in the world and because of that I can do this. :army:
So no excuses....JUST DO IT

I want to get my relationships in order starting with the one who gives me salvation. I plan to regain consistency in Bible reading, and make vast improvements with the time and quality of my prayer life. From there, I plan to spend alot more time praying and working on my family and home.

I hope to kick-start the library ministry at my church and maybe even include leading a book discussion group.

I want to continue on the weight-loss and health gains I've made this year. Hopefully, I will reach my goal weight (129) by my birthday in June. I realized today that I could do that if I lost just a pound-and-a-half a week. Sounds do-able to me!

Just back to add to simplify my goals: What I'd really like and need to do is to have more consistency in everything, to be a person of integrity. Help me, Lord, to bring glory to you. :ph43r:

My goals are:

1. Lose 126 lbs by the end of 2006.
2. Be in The Word more consistently.
3. Quit doubting myself when it comes to being put in leadership positions. I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.
4. Exercise faithfully...build up to 10,000 steps a day.

Aggressive goals, but why be satisfied with setting goals I can easily reach. I want to push myself. Therein lies true victory and satisfaction.

:animal1: My goal is to find the balance between eating and energy expenditure so that I can lose 1 or 2 lb a week. I think with God's help that this is possible and the only way for me to change my life when it comes to weight. I exercise about 1/2 hour a day in the winter and more in the summer with walking and gardening. Winter walking is difficult because even if the weather is nice, the roads are so muddy out here in the country. :health:

This is a great thread, because I hadn't really defined my goals. I hope to get down to my right weight and stay there. I hope to repair our marriage to a great degree. I hope to grow closer to God. I hope to be inthe best shape of my life and have my cholesterol and other blood profile at a good level.

No doubt there are some attainable goals in this thread. We should all revisit it in December. :)
