Gwen Shamblin's first diet book seemed so practical but in recent years she has been in a lot of trouble with evangelicals. What do you thingk? Carol

Hello, and welcome to this wonderful site.

I've gone through the Weigh Down Workshop a few times about 4-5 years ago at the church we were attending. I think there are several concepts for losing weight that are valid and I still try to use today. What I did not agree with was the leader's doctrinal beliefs that God is not a Trinity. The church we were attending also felt the same way and stopped hosting the meetings.

Thanks, Dave, for your reply. Do you know of others on this forum that have had similar experiences?

I still use Weigh Down as a reference book, but a good biblestudy with the hunger/ fullness concept is Thin Within. Your local Christian bookstore should carry it or be able to get it.

I believe what Dave said about valid points still remain so. But she is a cult now and cannot be supported in her stance.
