Devotions for Dieters A 365-Day Guide to a Lighter You March 1 Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience. The growl of his stomach sounded like a ferocious beast. He felt light-headed and nervous. He kept telling himself that he couldn't really be hungry; it was just his imagination. The gnawing hunger would not abate. Before long he just felt like crying. As much as he wanted to lose weight, he just couldn't face the beast that growled in his midsection. In disgust, he pushed away from his desk and headed out to eat. A hard part of dieting is showing our stomach who is boss. When our stomachs rule, we lose. Turn to the Lord when weakness sets in. He will see us through. Today's thought: I'm not letting my stomach push me around anymore! |

My stomach never pushes me... it pulls me! It pulls me to the fridge at night. It pulls me to the candy dish at work. It pulls me to the fast food place at lunch. |

 ---Tim, I have visions of a tiger pullling you around...
:) :please:, Mr. tiger, stop that growling and let Tim go.... Better yet, Tim, I'm going to start praying that you will grab that tigers' tail....hang on for dear life....swing that tiger round and round----up into the air....a-a-n-n-d-d.....let go and let it fly!!!! Where it lands, no one will know....and :loll: --- it won't land near any of the Grace Today family, so no excuses, people [me included]. We are going to get the victory over that tiger, yet...he won't be able to pull you around any more.... We are going to get the victory!! |

We already have the victory through the blood of Christ. Claim it and proclaim it, and the battle is over! :praise: the Lord. (Easier said than done, I know. :)) |
