From "Minute Motivators for Dieters," by Stan Toler Eat like a king for breakfast, like a prince for lunch, and like a pauper for dinner. "Eat all you want......just don't swallow." ~Tony Douglas Timing According to my Grandma Brewster, we eat backwards. She meant that, in terms of the volume of food, we take our meals in the wrong order. In the morning, when our bodies are crying for fuel, we generally eat the smallest meal of the day. A piece of burned toast, an instant breakfast drink, and we're out the door to face our daily quota of giants. It's no wonder we feel weaker than a flea with the flu at mid-morning. We haven't given ourselves the food advantage. Dinner can be a problem time as well. In the evening, when we're facing the day's longest period of inactivity, we usually eat the largest meal. We stop at our favorite restaurant and order without giving much thought to the length of time we'll be wearing that meal. And soon we're plopped down in that leather lounge chair with a remote in one hand and, in the other, the Styrofoam-boxed cheesecake the waiter saved for us. Reverse that. Eat a heartier breakfast and a lighter lunch. Eat the least in the evening. |

I do this, but it is my internal clock that necessitated it. I found my groove, and I didn't know it was approved. |
