From "Minute Motivators for Dieter's" by Stan Toler Remember: God is your source. "When we do what we can, God will do what we can't." ~Terry N. Toler Faith The children's church teacher finished her Bible story about Daniel in the lions' den. "Children, can anyone tell me why those mean old lions didn't have Daniel for breakfast?" she asked. A little girl on the front row waved her hand wildly. "I know! I know!" The teacher pointed to her and said, "Then tell the class." Proudly, the little girl answered, "Because they would have choked on his backbone!" Faith in God builds healthy backbones. Food can give strength to your body, but never to your soul. Abandon the notion that food can bring you comfort or security. No thing can do that. Only God can. Don't look to anything, or ANYONE, to give you peace, comfort, or strength, other than Him. Recognize God as your source of strength. A healthy diet includes spiritual disciplines such as daily prayer and Bible reading, as well as physical disciplines. You'll find that when you experience wholeness in the inner person, it will be reflected in every other area of your life. |

This says it the best way yet. [Recognize God as your source of strength.] I can't do it alone, but with Him I can do it. A church I pass everyday, has one of those messge boards out,...it has been reading.......We don't change the message .....................The message changes us! These sentence explains how/why that happens... [A healthy diet includes spiritual disciplines such as daily prayer and Bible reading, as well as physical disciplines. You'll find that when you experience wholeness in the inner person, it will be reflected in every other area of your life.] Lord please start changing me----from the inside out. |

You got me thinking that we need an inside out challenge. Or shall I say me specifically. Lord, get us out of our rut! |
