1 Peter 5:10 - NLT
In his kindness God called you to his enternal glory by means of Jesus Crist. After you have suffered a little while, he will restore support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

Cliff felt content. He felt good about the diet. He knew it was time to do something, so it didn't feel like such a great struggle. He prayed for God's help, and he felt God's presence with him. Sure, there would be unpleasantness, as there was whenever a sacrifice was involved, but it would all be well worth it. The prospect of being healthy and trim was very appealing to him. Cliff had confidence that God would bless him with strength, courage, and peace. With that kind of assurance, how could he go wrong?

Today's Thought: If God will give me everything I really need, how can I help but lose weight?

October 28 - Growing Young

There will never be a time when you will have conquered all of self. As you mount higher and higher you will see more and more clearly the errors and shortcomings of your character and life.

That is as it should be. Progress means youth.

Arrested growth means stagnation. Lack of progress and failure to conquer mean -- old age.

In Eternal Life there can be no old age. Eternal Life is Youth-Life, full and abundant Life. "And this is Life Eternal that they may know Thee, the only True God, and JESUS Christ, Whom Thou hast sent."

blessings to you and yours this day and always...

November is: Joy and Thanksgiving
Friday November 1, 2013

Notes:
November is: Joy and Thanksgiving

Those who are in captivity learn to truly understand the value of freedom. When we have been captive to an abundance of flesh, we long for freedom from obesity. To be able to walk my distance without feeling eshausted, to be able to wear fashionable clothing, to look fit, to not be embarrassed; all these things attain a preciou value when we don't have them. When we travel the
road toward a healthy, normal body, we come to appreciate the gift of the human form that God intended us to have. We learn to be thankful for what we have been given, and when we live as God intended us to live, we come to possess a deep and abiding joy beyond words. God gave us life to enjoy to the fullest. When we allow our bodies to become unfit, we make it impossible to live life as fully as is possible. Our Lord offers us a second chance; a chance of renew ourselves and enter into a life of peace and joy. Let us be thankful that He loves us enough to help us find a truly fulfilling life.
