As much as I am really starting this I still don't have much motivation. I really haven't decided what I want to do about a "diet" or I really don't want to say diet but a change in what I eat and how I eat. And excericse is going to be the hardest for me when you are just so emotionally and physically tired and unmotivated it is hard to get yorself to move around.

My favorite is calorie counting and exercise. It is as simple as it gets and I don't need complication. You have time to just think about it. Neither costs money.

There is no magic formula. It all boils down to if you want to lose weight you must take in less energy/eat less calories or burn more through exercise or both. Little changes can add up over time and make a big difference. For example switching to diet sodas instead of regular or skim milk instead of whole. Walking is a great exercise. Keep reading. Everyone is different and you will get lots of good advice here. By the way :wel:

 Thank you Cindy

I was given some stuff on Weight Watchers and was thinking on doing some of that...wish I could afford the whole program but not a choice. What choices I do make have to cost nothing...sadly our finances are at the worst but dealing with it as I go.

Now my choice right now, that is going thru my head this very minute, as tired as I am I am, starting today on very little sleep. On top of everything else I have been dealing with insomia off and on and the past two nights have been hard for me. My debate is starting off on long term goals, or mini goals day by day, week by week....not sure right now. I do need to get some kind of plan. And right now I am praying for a diet buddy where I live to really keep me accountable and am going to ask my mentor from church...I will be talking with her this weekend.

And as for exercise I do want to walk is just getting myself to do it!! I was even considering on seeing if libraries have dvd's on Zumba or Zumba gold since I am bably out of shape....dancing sounds good. But one thing I really want to do is ride a bike but I have one very bad leg and not sure if I will beable to......plus I live out in the country on a very busy road so don't know if it will be safe.....

My plans will come together.....just need to play around.

Loriann I do weight watchers points using old materials I got used on ebay. I found I learned a lot from reading the weight watchers stuff. I get support from groups on the internet like this one. (Grace Today is my favorite) Support from others is important but you do have to find the motivation within you to be successful. We don't have much money either. I will never have a personal trainer or chef like Oprah did. Sometimes you can find exercise equipment, videos and diet cookbooks at thrift stores and yard sales. Just try to make one small change at a time to work toward your goals.
