The challenge thread is where everybody comes first.
We all know how important exercise is for our health and for weight loss.
Everybody is not able to do the same exercise.
Choose your program and post it when you exercise or as soon as you can.
I am thinking to come back to the same post and edit (update) it when we exercise would be good.
We may need to change things as we go along.
That will be okay.
I just know, I need to exercise and I need support.
I am going to set up my personal challenge now to get us started.

My challenge is to exercise 5 days a week. Monday thru Friday.
Monday 03/07/11= 31 Minutes Wii Fit
Tuesday 03/08/11= 34 Minutes Wii Fit
Wednesday 03/09/11= 33 Minutes Wii Fit-PTL My Commitment made me exercise today.
Thursday 03/10/11= 40 Minutes Wii Fit. I talked myself out of exercising. Then decided to just do enough to count and see what happened. PTL
Friday 03/11/11=10 Minutes Wii Fit-Could not lose my streak.
Muscle in left leg hurts. Hopefully the weekend will be healing.
148 Minutes this week. PTL

Faye, you have made some tremendous progress, yes, PTL!

I will join this Challenge, hoping that this will motivate me.

Because, I like to walk -- I'm hoping to do some outside walking soon.

Because, I like the Walk Away the Pounds program, I hope to fit this program into my schedule.

I love yard work, and will count this in as a form of exercise.

My doctor told me to do some knee exercise, so.............
Well any way, I challenge myself to do some form of exercise six days a week.

Off to a great start, Faye, way to go! And thanks for starting the challenge. :)

Ironia, I'm also using one of the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. It is the 1 mile version with 10 min of stretch exercises at the end. Hope your knee is feeling better soon.

I'd like to join in, too, so that the challenge may get me back on track. Although I always like to have at least one long walk and a couple sets of weight circuits on the weekends, I will only track weekdays here.

MON - Pilates; walking DVD or Mon night hike w/group
TUES - Weight circuits; wobble board; walk
WED - Pilates; Dancercise
THUR - Weight circuits; wobble board; walk or hike
FRI - Accelerated Pilates

THUR 3/10 - 50 min walk
SAT 3/12 - 50 min Accelerated Pilates (Fri's exercise done on Sat)

Thanks for your comments on my knees. No they are not better. So I hesitate to do exercise, even though I know it is very important to do so.

No exercise for me today.
Legs still hurt.
Had to take my husband to the doctor this morning.
It is his ankle. He has been doing too much.
Took xrays. Bones look good.

I can not continue my exercise until my legs feel better.
I will start out easy as I should have done in the beginning.

I really over did it last week. My legs are still sore.
If they ever get better, I am going to start off with just the 10 minutes I know I should start off with.

Accomplished:

MON - 20 Min Pilates; 1 mile walk DVD (inc toning afterward); good hike earlier this evening (2 hrs, I think)
TUES - couldn't find weights, Monday I used 1 lb cans in toning exercise but I normally use 4 lbs for that as well as my circuits
WED - 20 min Pilates; this time couldn't find my Dancercise tape or make a decision on what exercise to do instead so ended up sitting all morning (frustrated with self, can't afford to waste the time, if not exercising I at least should have been doing some work); found my 1 lb weights, at least.
THUR - 35 min walk this morning; still can't find my 4 lb weights and too tired to use wobble board because of long, long shift at work on my feet
FRI - 20 min Pilates (procrastination kept me from having the time to do the planned Accelerated version)

Just finished assessing my activity level this week... I fell short of the plan; however, having the goals helped towards what I did accomplish. Next week's focus is to find my 4 lb weights and do exercises first thing in the morning; otherwise, it gets too hot or I don't have the privacy.
