Count me in. I'll weigh in the 28th to end the 'Belt Tightening Challenge' and report over here for my starting weight.

It is almost 10 pm here, and I'm dringing a cup of coffe (yes, coffee, it doesn't usually keep me awake, and I'm a bit chilly tonight ). I don't do that often, don't drink much coffee at all, but tonight it sounds good to me.

So count me in this challenge, I'll see you all there

I had a cup of coffee last evening as well, and had a very good night's sleep. Diet colas now make both Fayrda and I sleepy. Go figure. :a6:

I admit I don't usually have trouble sleeping. For a girl that use to get sick riding in a car (I mean.. 'STOP!' -- 'Let Me OUT!!!' or 'Hand me the pail', sick) , I can now fall asleep when dh is driving, sometimes when we've only went 5 or 6 miles, and I'm nodding off. I tell him it's because he doesn't talk to me...he listens to the noises the car makes -- or isn't making. Even our kids learned to ride in quiet .

It's late, and I should be heading to bed, but wanted to check out a couple of things, and started to think something to nibble on would be good. I'm running down the different threads to the 'challenge' thread, and the one that was up and last written on was...Eliminate Evening Eating..... Took that as a sign.. :ha: I'm not eating. Checking out one more site then heading for bed. :night: everyone.

Ok...starting off this challenge where I was on 8/17 - 353. Looking forward to re-sparking some progress, having spent the past 6 weeks in a giant see saw :saw:

Starting this challenge at 193.8. Not very happy with it, but this is a new challenge.

I go the the specialist tomorrow mornig for my problem of losing blood and low red cell count. Will find out if I have more tests tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

:focus: I'm starting this challenge at 202.... :focus: has to be my goal also....that and alot of :feed:

Barbara Ann, I'll pray the dr.s can tell you where it is going and can fix it quickly.

Been a long day. Up and cleaned the club this morning and then tried to do something in the house. I had left the scale up at the club, and remembered it at supper time, so went up to get it and found out sil was working, and no one was her helper tonight, so I volunteered to help...Got home @ 10 pm....am tired but don't need to go up tomorrow morning - works all done. Now I can stay here and clean for the family that's coming up for the mc ride..........Would be nice to have dry weather for the ride---maybe even a bit warmer for the riders.

Going to bed....sleep tight...May God's angels watch over you.

Ditto Angelic on Prayer for our BarbaraAnn...

Angelic - we can do it... :back: :mike:

BarbaraAnn...so many new challenges I've looked at having come off of a gain...not exactly setting the scale on fire the past 6 weeks. Once the doc patches you up, I just know the weight will fall off of you like a snowman's hat on the first warm day in March.

Early to rise today...still calling for more rain. No off-diet snacking yesterday, and I'm looking forward to keeping it that way for a while.

I got to sleep about 2:00 am and then out of bed at 6:15. I made the coffee and got Fayrda up so she could get ready and leave for her 7:30 am - 3:00 pm shift today. I am feeling OK, but I am sure there is a nap in my near future.

Very wild weather yesterday in WNY. Rain, winds, floods, power outages, downed trees. Such fun. Rainy today and still somewhat windy, but the storm is supposed to move to the East sometime today.

"Father, here we are starting a new challenge. Give us Your strength and Your wisdom so we can eat healthy and have healthy bodies. We praise You for we are truly fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. Bless us today with Your wisdom and the joy of Your presence. In Jesus name, amen."

Have a blessed and terrific Tuesday, friends! :) :focus:

Hi everyone.

Saw specialist today. Have to have an endoscopy on Monday afternoon. Not looking forward to procedure, but I do want to know what is going on and get it fixed.

Sunny and beautiful today.

Have a great afternoon.

Barbara Ann, I will keep praying for you. I had an endoscopy about 10 years ago. Just ask for lots of drugs, and you will be OK. :a6:

Mike, hoping you are able to ride today.

Cloudy and cold in the 40's here in WNY. The weather is supposed to calm down now with even some sunny days. Today is Fayrda's dad's 84th birthday. The boys are in school all day, but I think Fayrda and I will take mom and dad out for a Greek lunch.

Fayrda is off work today and tomorrow. She finished painting the garage (family room/hot tub room/kitchen) last night and it looks fantastic. Our task for today is to get that area of our home all back to "normal". Our next project is the utility room. We had a quote from a contractor to do the work and just can not afford that, so we will do it ourselves. So, we will begin preparations to paint the walls Fresh Pineapple with Pineapple Sorbet cabinets, then rip out and replace the flooring that was damaged by the leaking hot water tank, then lay resilient vinyl flooring in a hickory wood pattern. Fayrda and the boys can mostly do it, and I can help.
Fayrda has scheduled 11 days vacation beginning next Thursday, October 8 and we can use that time to finish the project.

No word yet about the job Fayrda interviewed for last week, but the interviewer told Fayrda she would be making some decisions by the end of this week. I expect that Fayrda will hear something from them within the next few days. It will be part time mornings to start, then hopefully work into a full time position.

Have a blessed and wonderful Wednesday, friends! :dont:

And Happy October! Hard to believe that is is already October. Cool - 44 degrees - and partly sunny today. Fayrda and the boys are planning to complete putting the family room/kitchen area back together today.

Have a blessed and thankful Thursday, friends! :) :focus:

Good morning, everyone! :morn: I've hit a major goal last month having reached the last quarter of my weight loss journey. Perhaps this challenge will help me reach the goal I set nearly 4 years ago. :bam:

Wishing everyone a happy Thursday, and much success on this newest challenge!

Dave, I was looking at one of your graphics and now curious: what is "living la vida low carb"?

Hi, Gracie! Very good to see you.

"Living La Vida Low-Carb" is a rough translation for "Living The Low-Carb Lifestyle" which is my basic nutrition philosophy. Higher protein, lower fat, lots of vegetables, some whole grains and fruits.

Are you joining our new challenge or just cheering on from the sidelines? Just wanted to clarify.

Good for you for getting this far. Whether you participate in this new challenge or not, we will be there to support you all the way.

Have a great day! :)

Finally on 2 wheels this morning...a little chilly, but I'm still built for it (not for long if I keep shedding lbs). Back on track on my diet and exercise...scale likes me again.

Dave - sounds good to have a semblance of order again in your house. :)

Gracie - so good to see you. I hope you're joining the challenge.

I'm up early. Not sure yet if I'll stay up or go back to bed.

Everyone, please remember to go over to Coffee On The Deck and wish Barbara Ann and Ironia a Happy Birthday!

Mike, it does feel good to have some order back in our house. I posted pictures of the room in Coffee On The Deck as well. Next week starts the really fun project of ripping out and replacing the utility room flooring.

Fayrda works at 1:00 pm today and the boys have 8:00 am classes. Fayrda and I have some errands to do early on, such as get gas in the Caravan, then will relax until she goes to work.

Have a blessed and fantastic Friday, friends! :) :feed:

A little off-track the past 24 hours - I felt *real* hungry yesterday after finishing lunch and couldn't quench the appetite with the usual methods. I think my body wants breakfast again, so I need to figure out how to work that into my mornings.

Stopping for some coffee on the deck to see how re-modeling's done.

Hi everyone. Didn't eat lunch with John today. His boss wanted him to go to Crystal River with him and drive a van the other newspaper place was giving us. Really missed having lunch with him, especially since this is my birthday today.
John got me some beautiful flowers and a gift card. We are going to a friends house tonight to play dominos.
Can't wait til Monday to get that test and find out what is going on. Not looking forward to the test hehehehehe, just finding out what is going on.

Have a great evening.

Quiet around here yesterday. Spent the day on 2 wheels with DF and both DS's - had a good time. Back to reality today.
Need to focus a little more than I have been - scale tells the tale that I haven't been that bad...nor that good. I need to get back to progress, though.
