Eli was Eli, part Super Bowl MVP, part lost little hick boy in the big city but the defense stepped up and took this win!

After winning a Super Bowl on a LATE 4th quarter drive with the game on the line, Eli gets a lifetime pass from me.........

Basicly.
The few things I saw him do wrong are very correctable(the int was a rushed throw inducing a mechanical malfunction,ie,he didn't square his shoulders twards Boss, some early season miscomunications with recievers, which IMO was expected due to all of them being injured).
Not one thing alarmed me on offense, even though we did bog down in the red zone and the 2nd half.
As long as we run for 150 a game and pass for over 200 a game like last night,we will win.

Eli could win every SuperBowl from now until he retires & he will never get a lifetime pass from me.

Part of my "problem" is that it was a late 4th quarter drive that won the game. Why can't he play like that all game long? He had a great first half & a medicore 2nd half. Yes, his mistakes are correctable. But at what point does he stop making them?

HEY!

How about some love for the old guys!

Feagles was his usual outstanding self and Carney was 3 for 3 on FG's..........with a 48 yarder B) . HE LEADS THE LEAGUE IN SCORING!

In all fairness, he's usually great and for my money, the best punter in the league, but didn't he have a 15 yard (or so) punt?

I'm just sayin'. :)

On later outside rushes you could just see him sniffing out Smoot. Didn't get him. But he was looking for him.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine today. I said, 'Eli played very well last night. He had a few bad reads from his receivers; had a few bad throws, but had a very nice game in my mind. Maybe it's because he still gets a pass from me, but we won the game....he played well.'

Although maybe not "lifetime", he certainly gets the beneift of the doubt right now. And hey....he did throw the ball well last night. Bravo to Mr. Manning.

I thought there couldn't be any "competing" games on in this area when either the Jests or Giants were playing?

That only comes into effect if one of the teams are playing at the Meadowlands.

Since the Giants aren't playing and the other New York team is in Miami they can put another game opposite the Jets............

But you have despised of Eli from the second they traded Rivers for him.

Dare I say we should be 3-0 after the next two weeks?

I would certainly hope so with the Lambs and Bunguls.

I can't stop watching this! Is it me?

After Landry's back hits the turf, watch....'left foot, then right foot - directly on his chest.' I thought he stepped on his neck, but it was more his chest.

Have I expressed how much I fucking love this shit?

I don't despise Eli. He's our QB, I can't despise him. I wasn't a fan of trading Rivers for him & I have never denied that.

It has nothing to do with my personal feelings.... I don't think he deserves a lifetime pass just for winning the SuperBowl. There are very few quarterbacks who should have a "lifetime pass." Perhaps the "elite" QBs have one. Eli is not an elite QB. Not yet. IMO, he has more to do before he is considered an elite QB.

Eli had a good game last night. His mistakes are fixable, but they are the same mistakes he continues to make. When will they be "fixed"??
