The 2008 regular season has finally come people! Who's ready to kick some Redskin ass and get this season started off right? I sure as hell am. I have to tough through two classes today, but after that it's all football all the time.

Just a heads up for those who are going tonight.......

* The Giants are reminding fans who plan to attend Thursday night’s opener and any Giants home game that only those ticket holders with pre-paid parking permits will be allowed on the sports complex grounds. Those fans without parking permits will be directed to satellite parking and take shuttle busses to Giants Stadium.

* The Giants are asking fans to carpool and arrive early. Giants Stadium parking lots will open at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

* Fans are encouraged to be inside Giants Stadium by 6:30 p.m. for the pregame ceremony recognizing the Giants' Super Bowl championship teams of 1986, 1990 and 2007.

As usual I have a tendency to beat a subject into the ground, but I'd recommend for those who are going to get there as early as possible.

The parking problem and a week night game could add up to the mother of all cluster fucks traffic wise.

True, but at least you could listen to the victorious post-game interviews ^_^

 r nargi is a regular poster over on BBI and he has a thread going on this topic.

However, since they're strtctly enforcing the NFL's new 5 Hour Rule the NJ State Troopers have moved in and are now clearing the lots of all tail gaters.

Lame. :irked:

I'm leaving in a little bit. Also, they're supposed to have one of the beams that will be used in the 9/11 memorial there so people can sign it.

Lame indeed............

But unfortunately for every person who can go out and have themselves a good time responsibly (that being the key word here) there is a jackass who can't.

Bottom line: everyone has to pay the price.............

I gave up my tickets tonight because of the parking nightmare. It turns that I told my asshole friend who sold me the tickets - 'if you don't have the parking permit, please see if you can sell them to somebody else because the parking nightmare is going to suck all the fun out opening night for me and my boss (who I was taking). So the next day he tells me that I'm off the hook (because I would have paid him whether I went or not), that he found somebody to buy the tickets. Then tells me THAT HE DOES HAVE THE PARKING PERMIT!!!!! :irked:

This guy is really getting on my last nerve, but ya know what...he was nice enough to ask me first about the tickets, so I didn't end his life.

So here I am in front of Stevie The TV, ready for a Giant Whoop Ass!!!!!!!

:cheer:

Yeah, I'm in front of the TV too..... no way I can go tonight.... had a rather exhausting, frustrating first day of school (after 2 days of sitting in boring friggin meetings). Got home from work only 45 minutes ago, & have to go in tomorrow.... so I couldn't see staying out til 1am at the earliest tonight. The traffic would be insane trying to get there (it was bad coming home & I take :light traffic" highway home, that doesn't go near the Stadium!) & I am no "equipped" to deal with the multitude of morons that'd be there, so I'm glad I passed on this one. Plenty more games for me to go to!

Hampy, you may not have hit your friend, but I want to after reading how he screwed you over! Did he fail to mention earlier that he had the pass cause he knew you weren't paying for the tix? Regardless, he sucks. If you want ME to hit him so YOU don't have to, just say the word. I need a punching bag & I'll need it even more after tomorrow!!!!! :blkeye:
