I agree with Gene, bring back Lorenzen, he knows the system has a cannon for an arm and didn't look bad to me in the few chances he got to play. I think we should be as patient in the development of the backups we draft as we are with the guys drafted to be starters, it takes 3 years for all of them....

If anyone cares to know Simms had a tryout with Baltimore today.

No word on whether or not a contract was signed.

Simms sucks.

I say no to Simms because I really don't see him as any improvement over Carr, actually they might be about even, to date I think Simm's biggest accomplishments have been back at the U of Texas...

I guess my point was that he did more back at UT than he has in the NFL....

Cyber, Simms started his junior and senior years. So much for the Applewhite theory, he graduated by that time. And uh, Applewhite was one of the most successful college quarterbacks in the history of college quarterbacks.

It's so funny that everybody brings up Oklahoma when they have nothing else to back up their view. Yes, he sucked against them, but that was one of the most ferocious college defenses in the past 25 years. They made a lot of good college QBs look like they had no business being on the field. Team sport my friend. They completely abused that offensive line, and many other offensive lines.

No accomplishments for Simms, huh?

3rd best winning % in UT history

2nd most TD passes in UT history

2nd most single season TDs in UT history (26)

Highest Career Passing Efficiency in UT history (138.4)

Junior Year: 22 TDs/11 INT
Senior Year: 26 TDs/12 INT

Yeah, he didn't do anything in Texas. Stick to Sirius radio sucka. lol They obviously don't talk much college football.
