KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kicker Jay Feely has been cut by the Kansas City Chiefs, a day after signing a one-year deal. Feely was an eight-year veteran who kicked for Miami last season. He was brought in to challenge Connor Barth and Nick Novak for the starting job.

The three had what coach Herm Edwards called a "kick off" on Monday and Tuesday to determine who would make the team.

Chiefs president Carl Peterson announced Feely's release on Wednesday. That leaves 76 players on the roster.

The team has to bring in someone over the next few days if Tynes isn't going to be ready by next Thursday.

Huston is horrible.........missed an XP tonight and his KO's weren't going deep at all.

Imagine that, Feely returning to the Giants after they won it all without his leg!

Miami probably didn't wanna pay him. Everyone else brings him in as "competition" for their current kicker, who then steps up his game, proves his value, & Feeley is once again shown the door.

:dunno:

Isn't there some Brazilian soccer player looking for a nice paying job in the States?

I don't know what the team is going to do about a kicker, Tynes isn't ready and even if he was he leaves a lot to be desired and Houston just plain sucks . The way things stand right now we will probably lose a game or two with either of these guys .

Well, the only saving grace is that we won the super bowl with one of the worst kickers in the league last year (imo). I hate to trash him, but how much worse can we do than Lawrence freakin Tynes.
