As if.

Use your brain. You like to over-analyze shit. Think "ripple effect", with many points...

:cheer:

My sentiments exactly! Give 'em back & reduce my wait to 15 years instead of 20!

Sorry, but as I said in a post somewhere else around here season and non-season ticket holders are both getting it in the neck (whoopsie, bad choice of word there) in the back on this........

For the most part PSL's have made the waiting list obsolete.

In a couple of years when the holders are allowed to put them on the market any potential buyer is going to have to open up the checkbook big time..........especially in light of the fact this team is built to make a serious run at the championship the next few years........

Well, when I signed up it was a 25 year wait.... I've still got 20 years on the waiting list, so I'm not worried....

Hopefully this won't have any affect on my getting tix from the "front office" so I'm good.

PSLs suck.

The Jests suck!

Woody is a back-stabbing motherfucker!!!!

(Sorry... it's entirely possible that's the beer talking......)

If they had listened to me and not built a new stadium, which we do not need, we wouldn't even have to worry about.

Blue is right though, there was no need for a new stadium. Sure the stadium had a few nicks & bruises but those could've easily been fixed in a single offseason.

This current stadium could've easily went on another 10, 15 maybe even 20 years.

The thing that kills me is that stadiums these days don't last over 20-30 years. Its ridiculous. There was no need for a new stadium except for the fact that owners are greedy pigs and wanted more $$$$$, which is absurd because they're billionares to begin with. If I were ever a billionare I'd be happy with my situation and wouldn't milk for more. How much $$$$ does one man / family need?

Personally, I'm sick of going to other cities and their stadiums that make the Meadowlands look like the NY Tri-State area is part of a third-world country. Ok, that's a little exaggeration, but you know what I mean. This is the financial, sports and business hub of the world, yet all our shit is old and dingy.

From a purely selfish point of view, I'd like for New York to catch up to these cities that seem light years ahead of us. Hello, fucking Cleveland has a nicer stadium than us. Need I say more?

Cleveland needs a nicer stadium so they can actually draw people in. Giants Stadium is/was fine. It's a real football stadium! Not one of these glitzy, shiny, "museum" like new stadiums that don't look like they should have a football game in them for fear of messing them up!

At risk of making Gene kick his dog again:

Report: Big bucks for naming rights

Welcome to Allianz Stadium?

According to the competition over at the New York Times that seems to be a possibility. Supposedly the Giants and Jets are negotiating with the “German financial services giant” for what would be a 30-year deal that would be worth $25 million annually.

Hmmm … 30 years, $25 million. That’s $750 million. Plus a $300 million loan from the NFL. Plus an estimated $371 million in revenue from the Giants’ Personal Seat Licenses and probably another $300 million or so from the Jets’ PSLs. Plus they’re selling naming rights to each of the corners of the stadium for $8 million per year over 20 years, which is $160 million per corner, or $640 million total.

OK, $750 million (naming rights), plus $300 million (loan), plus $371 million (Giants PSLs), plus $300 million (Jets PSLs), plus $640 million (corner rights). That’s about $2.36 billion. Even if you take out the $300 million loan, which presumably has to be paid back, we’re at $2 billion. And the stadium, which was once supposed to cost $800 million is now estimated to cost $1.6 billion. That’s less than $2 billion, right?

And we haven’t gotten to ticket revenue, revenue from their luxury suites, which will presumably bring in multi-multi millions for each team, not to mention the TicketExchange scalping machine, merchandising, in-stadium advertising, revenue from their internet and TV shows, the $8 watered-down beers, programs, hot dogs, yearbooks, parking, income from the NFL Network and millions from the NFL’s TV partners, naming rights for their practice facility … and multiply all that by two since two teams are financing the stadium. …

I’m sorry, I forgot. Why did they need to sell PSLs again?

I know, I know. A lot of that income is pre-tax, and most of it is paid out over 20-30 years. I guess $2 billion ain’t what it used to be.

Don't ask me..........

I was channel surfing the other night and someone tossed it out as I was passing by PBS...........

It sounded good so I tossed in the mix.

I just figured it was an alterative usage of the nomenclature of the local vernacular.
