From nyjets.com............. New York Jets chairman and CEO Woody Johnson at a news conference today unveiled seating options for New Jets Stadium opening in 2010. The plan includes no Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs) on all 27,000 seats in the upper bowl, an auction that will give every fan the opportunity to bid on membership in the Coaches Club for access to the 2,000 best seats in the house, and the option for all PSL owners to finance their purchase over five years. Fine I'll be the 1st to admit I'm being a whiny pussy here, but wtf! Season tix in my family for over 50 fucking years........supported this organization through thick and thin over the years (and believe me this organization was fucking pathetic from the mid-60's to the mid-80's) and this is the way the Giants thank their loyal fans. Fucking pathetic! |

Ya know JW I'll probably cool off in an hour or so, but man this just pisses me off to no end right now. They cry their crocodile tears about funding the stadium then their fucking partner who is supposed to be funding half the cost for this fucking dump lets some of their fans off the hook.......... I mean in the long run it's only $3K out of my pocket, but it's the principle of the thing. Can't tell me the Giants couldn't have done the same for their fans? We didn't want Jet fans in our building to begin with and now some of them get to free load in the new building. Ah fuck it.............just went to the Dr. and my blood pressure is perfect........no need to get my nuts all twisted over this. |

I hear ya, Geno. The Jests let their fans off the hook in the upper bowl in an equally funded stadium deal, but we still have to shell out a nice chunk of change for the same fucking seats? I am not part of the 'we' equation because I've never had seats of my own, but I'd be going batshit right about now if I did. My Dad's side of the family had them for years.....dating all the way back to the Yale Bowl. They gave them up quite a while ago, much to my chagrin. Needless to say, this is really putting the fucking screws to a lot of people who have shelled out their hard earned money for decades, even during the truly horrid years between the 60's to the mid 80's and beyond. If my Dad were alive to see this, he'd be pounding on Mara's door as we speak  |

This is something both organizations should have done together, now the Jets are making the Giants look like shit. Woody has the fans in his best interest but backstabbed Mara and Tisch. |

The Giants are the defending champions while the Jets have won nothing in nearly 40 years. Of course the Giants are going to charge people more. The Giants expect to bring in $370 million while the Jets expect $340 million. The Giants should be charging more. Doesn't matter for me. My seats are $5,000 a pop so I'll be losing them. Am on the waiting list for 2 Uppers, we'll see how quickly I can get them. My seats are not owned by me, but by a company, that probably will not renew for $30,000. I'm hoping to get 1 ticket with four of my buddies in the 300's, that would actually be best. |

I don't buy that as an excuse.... after the Giants went 4-12 a few years back they had the balls to raise ticket prices! |

I agree....... The entire premise of the PSL's was to defray the cost of this new dump. If they're making the fans pony up their share why put the burden on some and not all? I mean this is great for the Jets fans, but why are Giants fans getting stuck? WTF if the Giants miss the playoffs this year and Favre leads the Jets to a Super Bowl championship..........I know I know, but stick with me will ya? I'm just trying to make a point here  .......are Mara & Tisch going to send my $3,000 back? |

Really guys, if you can't afford $1,000 a seat I don't think you should have season tickets. Thats just my philosophy. Anyone I know with season tickets in the Uppers would've easily put foward the $1,000 a seat. Thats not much at all. Yes, its not right, but the Giants arn't asking for a lot of money for the Uppers, not much at all. They have won three Super Bowls since 1985, including last year, while the Jets have won nothing since January 1969. The Giants are going to ask for more while they can because they know they'll get it. |

Oh no, man. It's got nothing to do with affording the seats. Its the principal that some fans have to pay and some fans don't. Both teams, from what we were lead to believe, were going into this 50/50, and when only half of the fans have to pay and the others don't, there's something wrong. Win or lose, people still have to pay to get in, right? The Eagles have PSL's and they haven't won anything since Kennedy was in office
