I was just bustin' your balls. I don't "pin" this on Eli. Do I blame the QB for throwing interceptions? Yes, I do. Moreso than you do, that's for sure. I fully understand that INT's happen that aren't the QBs fault, but how you always know that the receiver ran the wrong route and Eli read the coverage correctly is beyond me. I don't watch the game tapes taken from the booth that show each coverage and break down each play. Without that, I don't think any fan can definitively blame the QB or receiver on most of those plays. I just base my opinions on what I see on the field and it's easy to see bad throws when they're bouncing 5 yards before they get to the receiver on a simple 6 yard out route. I see Eli at the top of the league in INTs since he's been in the league. I don't buy the fact that his receivers run the wrong routes on most of those throws. He just wasn't an accurate passer..., something that he's improving upon each season. That's all. |
