I have no idea what happened, these are idead.
Hampy, you seem to want to pin this on Eli for some reason, that is the general feeling I have gotten from you the past few years. You always seem to want to pin the fact Eli threw an int on him when it was obvious Shockey either turned the wrong way or just stopped the second the ball left his hand.
And nobody knows what happened during that players meeting after the Minnestota game?how do we know that Manning didn't get in Shockey's face behind closed doors and everybody kept it there.Maybe Gilbride and Shockey got into it.
Bottom line,Shockey has pro bowl talent, but was a bad fit in this offense and was starting to become a cancer.

I was just bustin' your balls.

I don't "pin" this on Eli. Do I blame the QB for throwing interceptions? Yes, I do. Moreso than you do, that's for sure. I fully understand that INT's happen that aren't the QBs fault, but how you always know that the receiver ran the wrong route and Eli read the coverage correctly is beyond me. I don't watch the game tapes taken from the booth that show each coverage and break down each play. Without that, I don't think any fan can definitively blame the QB or receiver on most of those plays. I just base my opinions on what I see on the field and it's easy to see bad throws when they're bouncing 5 yards before they get to the receiver on a simple 6 yard out route. I see Eli at the top of the league in INTs since he's been in the league. I don't buy the fact that his receivers run the wrong routes on most of those throws. He just wasn't an accurate passer..., something that he's improving upon each season. That's all.
