Amazing, ain't it? He's got that Lis Franc shit and needs surgery, so yet another one goes down for the count. We should start a damn pool this week to see who's next because you just know we're losing another one <_<

Agreeing with Hamp (?) re: Coughlin's comments regarding the injuries before he came & his blaming it on the previous coach. Yeah, it's coaching.....

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. –Defensive end Justin Tuck, who missed the last three games with a foot injury, will undergo surgery on Friday and miss the remainder of the season. The surgery will repair a Lisfranc injury and will include inserting screws into Tuck’s foot. Dr. Robert Anderson will perform the surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Tuck, a second-year pro, was hurt in the Oct. 23 Monday night victory in Dallas. He has been undergoing treatment in the hope of returning to the field this month or in December. But a follow-up examination earlier this week revealed that little progress had been made and that surgery is the most prudent course of action.

This season, Tuck was the team’s first backup defensive end. He played in six games and had four tackles (two solo), plus six special teams tackles (four solo).

Tuck joined the Giants as a third-round draft choice in 2005 from Notre Dame. As a rookie he played in 14 games with one start and had 19 tackles (15 solo), a sack, a forced fumble and 18 special teams tackles (13 solo).

The Giants today signed tackle Jonathan Dunn to their practice squad. The 6-7, 324-pounder was a seventh-round draft choice by the Cleveland Browns in 2005. He suffered a season-ending ankle in his first training camp and spent the season on injured reserve. Dunn was in Cleveland’s training camp this year, but was let go in the final cutdown. He was a three-year starter at right tackle for Virginia Tech.

The Giants had an opening on their practice squad after linebacker Tyson Smith was signed to the active roster on Saturday.
