How Do The Giants Play It In Oakland?

With a playoff spot all wrapped up how do you see the Giants playing out the remaining game of the season?

Of course common sense tells us we want the Giants to win so they can secure a home playoff game......but at what price?

Do we sell out to win Saturday to garner that 1st round game at the Meadowlands?

Or do you see the Giants giving guys like Shockey some bench time so their various bumps and bruises heal?

Can't see the team rushing the walking wounded (McKenzie, Petitgout, Emmons, et al) back into the line up, so I don't think that will happen.

But how long do the Giants go with the first string? Seventeen weeks into the season I'm sure guys like Strahan, Barber, Shockey, etc are all nursing various dings and could certainly use the rest.

Do you go for the home playoff game or do you play it like a pre-season game and pull the starters after awhile and let the chips fall where they may (but go into the playoffs a little healthier)

Its no secret we suck on the road and havent won an away game yet with teams that have winning records. We cant rest anyone unless we have a 35 point lead in the 4th qtr.

oh crap Moss vs Allen is giving me the shits.

Given how they have played on the road, it's crucial that they win this game to get a home game in the playoffs. No one rests. A road game during the first week of the playoffs has a much greater chance of being their last game than a home game does.

Same shit different team for Collins.

Get to him early and often and he will be the defensive MVP for the Giants this week.
