Anyone who thinks EA isn't doing a great job as GM the last couple of years has their head up their ass.  I, for one, am glad he is sticking around.

Boy, I wish I had time to fish out some of your Ernie posts in the past couple of years.

Try to find 'em, I'm pretty sure it will be a very long search. :P I've generally been supportive of EA when most others haven't. I believe I've consistently said he's one of the better GMs in the league. If there were any posts when I didn't say that, well, we'll just blame that on the wine.

EA has been money (including the Manning trade, imo) since the hiring of Coughlin. The good moves far outweigh the bad, hence, 4-12 to 10-4 in two years.

If you were in support of him through the Thomas Lewis's, Jonathan Carters's and Cedric Jones's of the world in the past several years......you are drinking too much wine.

:D

Was thinking the same thing myself Hamp.....I seem to recall SEVERAL thread/posts by the good Doc calling for Ernie's head! We'll have to dig them up again.......

EA has made some good moves recently, but in general, he sucks.

You might want to rethink who is drinking too much wine LOL. Lewis & Jones were drafted by George Young. Carter was a later round pick which Accorsi missed on. However, in general Accorsi has done well with the mid to late rounders so there are examples to counter this one.

I suppose it's difficult to decipher who's doing the most drinking.

Accorsi took the job prior to the 1994 season, correct? Or was it 98?

Thomas Lewis - 1994
Cedric Jones - 1996
Jon Carter - 2001

Either way, you know what I mean. Don't make me post his drafts.

edit:
Don't mind me, he joined the Giants in '94, became GM in '98. My bad.

Signing him was a no-brainer. NO way in hell do we let him hit FA waters. We would've never been able to keep him.
