Anyone who thinks EA isn't doing a great job as GM the last couple of years has their head up their ass. I, for one, am glad he is sticking around.

From the article:

The Giants were able to acquire Manning without sacrificing Umenyiora and, as a result, gained not only a franchise-type quarterback but retained a superb young defender. :ny:

Boy, I wish I had time to fish out some of your Ernie posts in the past couple of years.

Nice move, but genius because of it? C'mon. It's a no brainer. The drafting of him was the genius part. I'll certainly give him credit for that. But signing him? Every coach in the league wants the guy.

EA has made some excellent moves the last two years, but............

Anyhoo, here's hoping the Giants can send him off to retirement with a smile on his face.

Here's to toasting Accorsi a few years from now (with the knowledge that Eli is a superstar as advertised).

Getting Eli and keeping Osi was clutch.

Well, like I said...I give him a ton of credit for drafting him. A monkey would know to resign him. :)

Getting Eli.......I'll get back to you in a year or two.

Try to find 'em, I'm pretty sure it will be a very long search. :P I've generally been supportive of EA when most others haven't. I believe I've consistently said he's one of the better GMs in the league. If there were any posts when I didn't say that, well, we'll just blame that on the wine.

EA has been money (including the Manning trade, imo) since the hiring of Coughlin. The good moves far outweigh the bad, hence, 4-12 to 10-4 in two years.

If you were in support of him through the Thomas Lewis's, Jonathan Carters's and Cedric Jones's of the world in the past several years......you are drinking too much wine.
