It's getting fucking ridiculous. I'm seriously starting to believe that Coughlin has some issues with the Giants and is systematically destroying them.

Seriously.

Well......I wouldn't go that far. lol

I think part of it is that he and Fassel had such differing views on players that he wants to get his 'type' of guys in here and he's had pre-conceived notions on some of them, where if they had to miss one practice, it's adios. That's the only reason I could come up with for such quick moves. Moves that don't have to made at this point.

Accorsi said today on the Fan that the main reason Fassel sat Dayne all year (other than personal issues that weren't communicated to him - he said) was that he "really liked Joyce as a running back". Joyce was a Fassel guy and Dayne clearly was not. Well......the winds of change are a blowin'. lol

We all know Dayne sitting last year was purely personal. There was NO reason for him to not even suit up ONCE.

Accorsi is a moron who's trying to make nice-nice.

Actually, faaaaar be it for me to defend that bozo Accorsi, but he was somewhat candid on the Fan today. Certainly out of character. He pretty much admitted that Fassel had "an issue" with Dayne that he didn't communicate to him. He then admitted that toward the end of the season, he himself (EA) approached Fassel and said, "why don't you let the guy play, compete, in the last few games?" And then gave a smirk as if to say, 'he obviously didn't listen to me'. (I saw the smirk on YES....not over the radio lol)

Blueheart will be here all week!

He also made a quick, very quick statement about "a problem at LB". He said it as if he didn't mean to say it out loud. He said it and then continued to talk about something else. Of course Fat Ass or Fruitcake didn't call him on it, nor even notice it I'm sure. It was the kind of thing where I immediately thought he was talking about Greisen and then realized that he shouldn't be talking about it. The other possibility was that he was talking about the Emmons situation and his recurring injury (had to sit out of practice today from what i understand). Yet if it was the Emmons thing, why would he have strayed from the subject? I think he and Coughlin know/feel that we can't win with Greisen in the middle.

Just a hunch.

No, he didn't do squat last year........but he was 10 times better than that waste of space, Brian Mitchell. Yet only had a few returns toward the end of the season.

That's funny stuff Hamp!

I think it's more the trend if you haven't shown him anything or your injury is possibly season/career ending.

Doering, Brommell, McKnight and Inkrott haven't been cut yet. Hell, Doering has been sitting a while and it's not like we're really strapped for safety depth. Same for Brommell at DE. Inkrott might not be so lucky once Shockey comes back, but he's still here. Others, who aren't exactly starters, have sat out a practice or two without getting cut too.

Oh, and I think BlueHeart has some serious fucking issues with Coughlin and wants to systematically torture and destroy him. :P

It was meant to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but it was getting a little funny that a guy would limp off the practice field and be cut the next day.

I actually am starting to warm up to TC as it seems many are becoming pissed off with him. He's most likely a better judge of talent than Fassel, so although I may not have agreed with the timing of some of these cuts.....I'll sit back and see what happens. I like his overall philosophy and his hard nosed approach....for the most part.

Right now.......the biggest fuck up.......not signing Trotter to a vet min contract, while we have Nick freakin Greisen as our MLB. We will grow to be haunted by the lack of that move.

I hear you. I like Coughlin's style. I'm sure that style could still use a little tweaking, but what coach is perfect and doesn't have to adjust a bit? He's certainly not the slave driver he was made out to be.

It may or may not be because of Coughlin's input, but the personnel decisions do seem much better this year. It seems like we've even found a few day 2 gems in the draft for the first time in a while.

I don't know if Trotter would have signed with anyone but the Eagles for the minimum though, so I don't really blame anyone for that. It would have been nice to find someone to come in and compete for that spot though.

Maybe you're right about Trotter.

Yeah, we needed a change of attitude on this team. Not everybody likes a good coach. But everybody typically learns to respect him.

I'm interested to see how our Oline performs on Friday.
