More on Dayne from ESPN:

There is some chance the
former Heisman Trophy winner could be traded over the weekend. And if he
stays with the Giants, he may fall to the No. 3 tailback spot on the depth
chart, behind Tiki Barber and Dorsey Levens.

A Vikings fan on the Giants message board over on KFFL reported that he heard the rumor that Dayne is heading to the Vikes for a DE by the name of Lorenzo Brommel......

On the other hand...as a Giants fan who responded pointed out....why would the Giants make that particular trade for a DE they don't need?

Dayne ain't going nowhere........except to the inactive list......

Can't see him being traded straight up, maybe for a conditional draft pick. Plus we're stocked with mediocre DEs, don't need another.
