All I can say is OUCH.

Quote:

HOME:

Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.

AWAY:

Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers.

This is just evil.......evil I say.

The good news is that all you out-of-town GZers are going to see a lot of Giants games on national tv next year.

Giantone would say otherwise! :)

But, yeah, that schedule looks daunting. As awesome as it was for us to win our division, that means we have to play all of the other NFC division winners next year (GB, NO, SF). Yikes.

Wow, I think that schedule is even harder then the one we just played and barely survived this year. However with the players we will be getting back and another Reese draft know we will be up for the challenge.

I just looked up the schedules of Dallas & Philadelphia and it looks like 9 - 7 just may take the division again.

Obviously they both play the same schedule as we do.......the difference being the Cowboys avoid the Packers and host the Bears. They'll also miss San Francisco and go to Seattle instead. Not easy games for them.

The Eagles also avoid Green Bay and San Francisco. Philly will host Detroit and travel to Arizona.

A small consolation I dare say.......

It's funny that we finally drop the Vikings from the schedule (now that they are shitty) and pick up Green Bay almost every year.

7 playoff teams + 6 division games + Cam Newton.

I don't know if most are aware of this or not, but for what it's worth, we are getting stuck with the likes of Green Bay, New Orleans, and so forth because of the record we have. Of course we play each team in our own division twice which makes 6 games, then we play an entire division in the AFC which is another 4 games for a total of 10. We also play another entire division in our own conference, which makes 14 games total now... so the remaining 2 games of the schedule are made up of the other two divisions in our conference (not our own, and not the one where we play each team), and the way it is decided is each team plays the teams that finished in the same spot in their division. So since we finished atop the NFC East, we play the team that finished first in the NFC West and North. Dallas, finishing 2nd, will play the two teams that finished 2nd in those divisions, and so on...

So, the madness that is our 2012 schedule actually has some logic to it, despite how daunting it seems :(

I'll never understand why you folks have such a tendency to go into Black Cloud Mode over shit like this.

Granted, I go into each season believing whole-heartedly that we can whoop all comers, but, really, you just don't know what those teams are going to look like next season after the off-season (*cough*free agency*salary cap*cough*). Hell, anyone remember Baltimore's overhaul?

I'll worry about next season's schedule in August when I know what the hell we're actually facing. LOL
