Hixon is ALL-PRO at running screens.

Didn't he get tackled for a lost on a WR screen?

Tom Coughlin/Kevin Gilbride/Spags clearly fumbled the ball at the end of the game.

Or overthrew/underthrew/threw behind WRs. Or maybe The aforementioned trio had balls bounce off their hands? Or were they the WRs who couldn't get open?

.......................in my opinion all game long, they are the biggest reason for this debacle.

When Eli wasn't throwing DUCKS, he was trying to force it to WR's who could not get open. Knock Gilbride all you want (oh dear God, I'm defending this clown) but he is not a miracle worker when it comes to trying to work up a bunch of #2 & #3 type receivers who are unable to get open.
Bingo. It's funny how Gilbride is a genius when Manning plays well and should be fired when Manning is historically bad. There hasn't existed an OCoord who could have worked a plan with this quarterback today. Downright embarrassing performance.

Gilbride made some ridiculous calls, I'll admit that...but after letting this thing sink in a bit, there's no way...NO WAY I could lay the blame at his feet while being completely handcuffed by such an incompetent performance from his quarterback.

Manning got a lot of credit for what this team did last year, whether right or wrong. Now he gets 100% of the blame for this loss as far as I'm concerned. We ran the ball and stopped the run. That usually equates to a win if you have at the very least, a less than average performance from your qb. This was far worse than 'less than avg'. This was just downright embarrassingly bad. You cannot win with a qb peformance like that, period.

Strangely enough, this is how my 'blame' goes:

1. Manning.
2. Coughlin (sending Gimpy out on the field)
2a. Carney (gimp leg)
3. Gilbride

And we are forgetting Carney missing 2 FGs?
Special teams, other than the opening kickoff return, were its usual craptacular.

My Blame goes
1.Gilbride(Jacobs himself could have had over 150 yards, and for the other lack of adjustments)
2.Manning-I know he has to deal with shitty playcalling, but he did leave a lot of plays on the field, and at times seemd to be losing confidence in his recievers getting open, but he did leave a lot of plays on the field
3.Coughlin-For taking the ball as opposed to the wind when they won the toss, didn't the same thing happen the last time these 2 teams played, only Reid did the Right thing and took the wind.
4.Carney-Time for a new FG kicker.Draft the kid from Penn St.
5.No pass rush, this is not on Spags, but I think it became evident that Kiwi is not an every down DE yet,he was playing at a lb weight, and I think he wore down.Osi comming back fixes this

Oh I dunno....drew double coverage and kept an extra safety out of the box to open up the run perhaps?

He made a big impact just being on the field and his absence was noticeable for the past 4-5 games, particularly today
