Well now that that's out of the way, let me re-cap. We played well, , on the road, against a pretty solid team. I can honestly say that, for the first time in a long time, I have confidence i the following positions: CB1 CB2 FS SS It has been a long, long time since I liked anyone on our team at those positions, but, after covering two of the best receivers in the game last night, I have some more faith and confidence now. Webster has really upped his game and I will be sad if he leaves to free agency after this year. Beyond that, Phillips and Johnson are a formidable tag team when they bring that blitz up the middle. Ross is kinda hit or miss lately, but I do believe he got f''ed by the officials on at least one call last night, so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. We also got some decent pressure on Mr. Statue back there, but I think their O-line gave us some big holes when we mixed up the plays. I'd still like to see Tuck and Kiwanuka more active. Beyond that, aside from some touch-ups on our play in the flat, where are are almost always weak, I think we played pretty solid defensively. Hats off to Ward for stepping up when called upon -- those are some big shoes to fill, literally, when Jacobs is out, but he did a fine job. Also hats off to Dixon and the rest of the Special Teams guys -- the game would've been a lot different without him. Looking forward to a good game in Washington next week. |

Wow, Hixon....WOW! I guess Bradshaw lost his return job, huh? Wow. Was that Sinorice Moss I saw on the field? Eli played like you'd love for him to play every week. Confident, stepped up very nicely in the pocket when he had to. He did that better tonight than he has since week 1 or 2. Smart throws, took chances when we could....really nice game by Eli. In a game like this, on the road, against a team who is clicking on all cylinders on offense, I don't mind the defensive performance. We really had a problem getting to Warner in the 1st half, which was a little bit of a concern, but hell...even with 350 passing yards, we did what he had to do on offense to make up for it. This team is scary. Without Burress or Jacobs?! REAL scary. |

Damn straight. A wise woman once said:
We've been hearing that we're gonna be shit after Strahan retired... after Osi went down... when Burress got suspended... blah, blah, blah... and again, a loss expected by some when it was announced Jacobs was deactivated yesterday. I'd almost like to throw my fist in the air and scream "When will you fuckers get it? We are a damn good football team and damn good football teams don't crumble when one man is gone!" But.. fuck'em. As most here should know by now, I PREFER it when noone gives us our due and it scares me when they do.

Yup........... There was even a time (can't remember when) where he blew his stack too. I'm assuming he was screaming at O'Hara. He was calling for the snap and it never came, so he had to burn a time out. As they were going to commercial thay had a close up of him yelling as if to tell O'Hara to get his head in the game. That got me amped up.

Yea, that was great to see. Not because he had to (never like that) but because he DID. |

KP21! Nice swat by him to jar the ball from the hands of Fitzgerald. And look who recovered that onside kick! Blackburn! Man, he is a rowdy ST player. |
