Soon there will be tribute pages up on GZ. I will be including fan memories, so, I would appreciate it, if anyone wants to contribute, any memories or feelings, etc... that you have on the following:

LT
Simms
Strahan
Barber
The Stadium
1986 SB Team
1990 SB Team
2007 SB Team

It doesn't have to be anything spectacular. One line, one paragraph... whatever. It would be helpful.

Just jot down your thoughts, and how you want your name, or SN, listed and town you live in.

There are a few other names that I'm thinking about, but, if you have an opinion on who/what should be memorialized, let me know.

You can post them here or send them to tribute@giantszone.com

Opposing fans, if you have something to share, feel free to do so.

There was a running back who in the preseason of 1990, the first time he ever touched the ball for the New York Football Giants...., broke a tackle, made a cut, broke another tackle and went 86 yards for the TD against the Buffalo Bills. I forget his name.

Haddy... I'm not even addressing that.

Hamp... he's on the "maybe" list. I'll take your post as one vote for "yes", in advance of the actual poll.

Ted Hawson
North Hills Caliofornia. Giants fan for 16 years. started in 1991.

Jessie Armstead. May have not won a superbowl with us or with another team, but he was a leader on defense and a force to be reckon with. Nobody talks about Armstead, but he was one of the best. Came alive in 1997 and made pro-bowl as well till he left the giants after the 2001 season came to an end. I loved and respected Armstead. He played hurt all the damn time. Torn Hamstring, broken ankle etc., etc., Yet he never missed a down for the big blue. Armstead always told the trainers to shut the hell up and shoot him whatever crap they had so he can play. Jessie Armstead was a warrior maybe and fucking intimdating.

I have many more. this is just a start.

Well Amani certainly has come along way. I remember his rookie season. I was a 6th grader in middle school. Big kickoff return for a touchdown then he tore his ACL and was done.

I would have never thought that Toomer would be our all time leading receiver.

1999,2000,2001,2002. 5 straight years of 1,000 yards receiving. Robbed of pro-bowls, but makes the most exciting catches you'll ever see. Toomer made me got nuts in 1999 for sideline catch he made. Tip toe, or dragging his feet. He just knows where he is and he is always aware. Old and not as fast as he used to, but he still comes up big time and can still make those sideline grabs. Gotta love #81.

650 receptions 9,282 yards and 52 touchdown passes. *current stats*

Memorable games:
Giants vs. Jets. 1999. Amani Toomer caught 6 passes for 181 yards and 3 tds.
1. Slant Route caught it and spun away to sprinted down the left sideline for a td.
2. Fade route- Collins pumps lobs it to toomer and gets both his feet down for a touchdown!
3. Fly Route- simple route it was 3rd down and Toomer just ran by the defender and another touchdown.

Giants vs. Colts. 2002 Amani Toomer caught 10 passes for 204 yards and 3 tds.
1. Flea Flicker- Collins pitches it to barber then pitches then throws it back Collins. backs up a little releases his pass around the 5 or 6 yard line toomer catches the ball around the 40 yardline of the colts and goes all the way. 82 fucking yards.
2. Corner route. Was wide open and the rookie didn't know what the hell he was doing so an easy td.
3. Corner route. Again the rookie didn't know how to cover him. Put the colts away afer that.

49ers vs. giants.
Again another 3 touchdown performance and 100 yards as well, but the niners came back to beat us. it was very painful.

I can go on cause i have seen toomer make great catches.. but i'll stop for now.

One of the biggest plays to ever stick in my mind. Think I was eight or nine years old at the time!

I remember that like it was yesterday. Jumped right outta my chair

Something that sticks out in my mind is the Lambuth Special. Even though we came out on the wrong end of the deal, it was one of the most fun games I've ever watched. That particular play took years off my life

This play happened right in front of us up there in 313. With everyone on their feet you really can't see the sideline right down in front of you.

I don't think anybody up there thought he caught the ball, because most people were asking wtf is he running with it for?

When they showed it up on the screen the place went freakin' nuts............
