We've been working on our back porch/beer garden. This project has been going on since August. We hired a shitty contractor and have been repairing his f**k ups... We still have a leak.  Saturday a friend of K's came over and we got the ceiling and top boxed in, and trimmed out except for where the leak is. I hired a roofing contractor to fix the leak. He's supposed to be back Tuesday (third trip) to hopefully get it sealed. Next weekend we cover up those ugly walls. Note: We rented a panel jack for the ceiling, best $17 i ever spent.

It's awfully hard for the good guys to compete with the f-ups. Been that way for the 31 years I've been building....that's what makes it so much fun. Glad your getting it straightened out without too much out of pocket. You should hire a hit man.... |

if there's an exception to the rule, i will generally find it.... roofers came yesterday, and did whatever it is they do... now we need a good hard rain. |

Walls, door/window trim, and baseboards are done. Ceiling is painted, fans are hung.   The foreman is happy....  Now if the dang leak is fixed we can plug the holes up top. |
