Dudes and Dudettes! I am stoked! I received my Mustang Seat and turn signal relocation mount today! Now I can ride without the sore butt and put on the large Kurkakyn saddlebags that have been in storage for 2 years!

Tomorrow will be a fun day! : D

I think I will also. I had hoped to try it out today but as usual with these "easy" jobs it turned into a pain.

Had to remove the fender to route the wires for the turn signals, that was easy as was splicing more wire into the run, I tried out the signals before re-mounting the fender and routing the wires and everything was a go.

Ran the wires and re-mounted the fender (what a PITA) hooked it back up and blew the fuse. I thought that maybe it was a fluke and put the spare fuse in and it blew as soon as I turned on the signal. Must have pinched something when I ran the wires or when I tightened everything down.

I'll get extra fuses and check my splices in the morning and make sure nothing is shorting where it shouldn't be and try again.

Didn't even get to put the new seat on. :boohoo:

Does anyone know if those mini fuses are available at regular auto parts store or if I need to go to a bike shop for them?

Got r dunn.

The NAPA here in Corrigan had the fuses. Isolated the problem to the left side, but never found a bare wire or anything. When the wires were unrouted there was no issue, but as soon as I routed them and tightened everyting back down the fuse would blow. Finally found an alternate path to route the wires and so far so good.

Now that you have all those bags set up.....you got to go somewhere. Maybe somewhere cooler?

Thanks Bud.

Dang Mark, I been a member what now? About a week? And you're already trying to run me off!

Actually I will go on a ride to try out the new seat either tomorrow or Monday. But I doubt it will lead to anywhere cooler. Might ride to Woodville for lunch and then down to I-10 and across to Mont Belview and up 146.

Thanks. I like it, it seems to fit me perfectly. 5' 8" 185#, well about 180 now. Quit smoking and lost weight at the same time. Go figure :headscratch: Must be the heat.

Over three weeks and no cigs. Had two H. Upmanns and about four of those Snuss things a day, and the last several days it was 13 or 1400 when I thought to have one of those.

Here it is a week later and the bike sits in the trailer, I mean my ahh bike garage, and I have yet to ride it.

Man when it rains out here the road in is totally impassable by bike or foot. Need to get me a dual sport for days like the past week. Guess a job would help in that endeavor. As would motivation to get off my a$$ and find one.

I know the feeling, I live a mile down a clay road and sometimes can't get out for 3 days even with a duelsport it can be tough.
Oh by the way, nice bike!

Yeah Rod. I think my next major purchase will be a dual sport. I was looking at some KTMs online the other night and really like a couple of them although I am leaning toward the tried and true KLR.

DISCLAIMER: Pending J.O.B. Got two interviews Monday

Too bad the seat heights way exceed my 30 inch inseam, on all decent sized dualsports.

And thanks for the kudos on the :happyrider:
