I should probably be studying for my final right now, but screw it, RPGs come first. The RPG is set in an original universe, so no canon characters. Of course, the common elements of every gundam universe will remain. Zaku units are everywhere and easily destroyed, there's a Haro somewhere, and an ominous-but-awesome antagonist wearing a mask. Y'know, the essentials. The plot is as follows: In the decades following the colonization of the other planets in the solar system, war has broken loose. All planets on the outside of the asteroid belt have grown tired of remaining subservient to Earth, and have seceded from the Solar Union. The inner-rim planets, dependent on the resources from the outer-rim planets, have tried preventing the secession by force, but were forced back by the surprisingly powerful armada of the outer-rim planets. Thus, the war has remained in a state of a bloody deadlock. Neither side will wane or surrender, resulting in nothing but a continued loss of lives. With Mars falling before the outer-rim's onslaught, it seemed the inner-rim Union wouldn't last much longer. However, there was one last hope for the inner-rim planets. At the very edge of the solar system, located on Pluto, several engineers and scientists have been working at the behest of Earth to construct several new mobile suits -- codename: Gundam. With these powerful units and the ace pilots behind them, it seemed Earth and the inner-rim planets might stand a chance. Yet even then, a few of the scientists are working for their own purposes, and supplying the outer-rim planets with Gundams of their own. The planets and their allegiances: Inner Rim: Mercury: Mercury, being the closest to the sun, generates the solar energy used by the other planets in the Inner Rim. Its colonies are set on ever-moving platforms in order to keep them away from direct contact to the sunlight, and remote-controlled mobile armors are often used for exploring the surface. The Mercurian people are industrial and hard-working, a necessity to survive on that planet. Venus: Venus is a planet that develops much of the Inner Rim technologies. It's known for having the best universities and research facilities. Earth: Earth tends to be home to the aristocrats of the Solar System, due to it having the most livable environment. It's the capital of the Inner Rim Union and also the location of the military headquarters. However, due to the Outer Rim Alliance's conquest of Mars, it's become in more danger, and constantly has battalions of Mobile Suits and Mobile Armors orbiting for protection. Mars: Mars was one the home of most of the civilians, essentially being what Earth once was. However, its military force was mostly defensive, and fell before the Outer Rim Alliance. Its civilians tend to be left unharmed, but now live in oppression and poverty. Asteroid Belt: No one lives in the asteroid belt, but its presence had made the Outer-Rim planets suffer. Due to the danger of traversing the belt, traveling between the inner and outer rims was difficult, causing neglect for the outer-rim planets despite the dependance on their resources that the inner-rim had. Outer Rim: Jupiter: Jupiter is home to the main offensive force of the Outer Rim Alliance. It's from there that they launch their attacks and keep their military forces. Due to its size, it will be hard to topple. Colonies remain floating atop the gas giant and drift along like clouds. Saturn: Saturn is the location of the ORA headquarters, but also houses several civilian colonies. Like the other gas giants, the colonies remain floating atop the gaseous surface, but visiting the rings is treated like visiting a national park, and is quite the tourist attraction. Neptune: Neptune is currently populated by Outer Rim civilians who fled there to avoid the war. While living conditions aren't the best, they get by. Several draft-dodgers have fled to Neptune, but they tend not to make it very far. Pluto: Pluto was not considered part of the Solar Union, so it was ignored by the Outer Rim Alliance. The Inner Rim Union, however, has made good use of it, hiding several scientists there to develop their "Gundam" Units. _____ Then, of course, we have character bios, as well as Gundam designs. I'll post the registration forms, then work on my own. Character Form Name: Age: Allegiance: Occupation: Description: Bio: Other: Mobile Suit Form Name: Pilot: Unit Type: (mobile suit unit or Gundam) Description: Abilities: Other: Name: Henran Takehiko Age: 23 Allegiance: Inner Rim Union Occupation: Gundam Pilot Description: A tall, lean man, whose brown locks fall just above his eyes and brushed back around the rest of his head. He's a little thin from all his training, but shows limber muscles in all of his limbs. His brown eyes are almost empty upon first glance, but one can see just from his slight expressions that he likes what he does. Bio: Henran, born as Hotaka Takehiko, was enlisted into the Inner Rim Union when their first draft order was issued, forcing him into the battlefield. However, in spite of the circumstances, he excelled in all forms of combat and would take orders in spite of any issues he may have had with them. Yet despite that, his promotions were few, and he was never given any medals or rewards. However, his prowess was soon recognized after he was sent on a mission into an ambush set up by the Outer Rim Alliance. Despite being outgunned and outnumbered, he still returned with the mission as a success... as the only survivor. Given his skills and loyalties, the Inner Rim Union decided to make him one of their Gundam pilots. After stowing away on a small cargo ship, he arrived on Pluto, where he was given his new name, and a new mobile suit: the Overkill Gundam. Other: In spite of his code name, Henran is not a fan of war. He fights to survive, but when adrenaline takes over, he will do anything and everything in order to destroy his enemies. His blatant waste of ammunition and destructive tendencies were what granted him the Overkill Gundam, named by him for its massive amount of weaponry. Name: Overkill Gundam Pilot: Henran Takehiko Unit Type: Gundam Description: Its basic frame is a regular humanoid Gundam model, covered in a heavy armor to support all the weapons it holds. Placed on its back is a powerful energy cannon that can rotate to be shoulder-mounted, and both of its arms are equipped with gatling guns above the forearm. Located behind flaps on its chest are more gatling guns, and on its side are missile launchers that rotate out in order to fire. Abilities: Overkill Gundam does exactly as the name suggests: Overkill. Its designed to fire barrages of bullets across the battlefield, along with the occasional cannon blast and missile barrage. However, missile ammunition is short, so they tend to be a last resort, and using the heavy weaponry too quickly can result in overheating. Other: Originally labeled Gundam Model X-035, it was granted the name "Overkill" by its pilot, Henran, due to its excess of weaponry. ______ Name: Belial Titanius Age: 39 Allegiance: Outer Rim Alliance Occupation: Pilot, Commander Description: Belial is clad in the uniform of the Outer Rim Alliance, white with a red spiral to the right of his heart, representing the red spot of Jupiter, and a golden belt, representing Saturn's rings. He stands tall, at around 6'3", and with perfect posture. His white hair is cut short and combed back across his head, and covering his face is a black mask that goes across his eyes and forehead. Bio: Belial is second-in-command of all of the Outer Rim Alliance forces, but is often seen leading the charge into battle. He's an honorable man, facing each opponent that comes his way in mano-a-mano combat, but has yet to be defeated. His name is clearly a pseudonym, but no one dares ask what his real name is. Calm and collected to a fault, he's often found listening to classical music in the heat of battle, and spends his spare time visiting the opera on Saturn. Description: Wears an old military style uniform no longer used by the Solar Union, the uniform was white with a plain blue jacket that had buttons down the center, along the right sleeve is the name 'Solar Union' and along the right sleeve is the wears name, the pants are blue but slightly worn. Along with the uniform he wears a cap with the words 'Solar Union' on it . Has a deep scar on right of his face but also has evidence of burns on his left leg, which he also walks with a slight limp. He has a large build with muscles on his legs and arms, though his abes need work. His hair is a natural brown and kept together from his old military days. Bio: Renoza was originally apart of the Inner Union, but left after witnessing things that he felt were 'inhumane' when he left he was given the opinion of either quitting entirely, or becoming a starship captain in charge of a small mining operation in the asteroid field. He took up the offer and for six years prowled the asteroid belts with a large crew of dedicated workers, but as the years ticked by the amount of money he and his crew were getting began to trickle downwards to the point where there was barely enough to keep his carrier operational. In order to keep his ship running, he's forced to cut the number of crew he has down to a bare minimum but the love he has for Earth no longer exists. Though he still has the skills to pilot a mobile armor, which he was the ace pilot of back in the Inner Union. Starship: The Hybrid Carrier known as "Lance" was created by the Inner Union to serve the role of mobile suit carriers, while its design allowed it to move undetected through contested areas and its drive engines also allowed it to achieve speeds that made it comparable with fast attack ships - its lack of proper weapon placements made its use as a carrier technically useless as it had several blind spots. In short; 'most' of its capability as a combat craft were removed and it was relegated to the role of a civilian carrier for use in mining operations both planet side and in space. It still possesses some of its turrets but is only usable against small objects such as asteroids and ordinance. However, despite that, its spacious hanger bays allowed it to serve as a multirole 'refueling' point of traveling passenger ships. The Lance Calisto, owned by Renoza, is modified to include four additional turrets located on the bottom of the ship. It also has eight mobile armors that are used for self-defense purposes, but are hidden away in secret hangers that are not on the ships original blueprints. Despite these modifications, the ship won't survive long in an engagement against other capital class ships - or even against mobile suits intent on its destruction. Image:Lance Calisto Notes about the model: This model wasn't designed for this story, but I am using it to show you basically what the ship looks like. If you remove most of its turrets (except those on the front and back) and keep the hanger bays, you basically have what it looks like. -- Name: Lisa Viola Age: 19 Allegiance: Inner Rim Occupation: Ace Pilot Description: She's of medium build with muscles that would make some males feel small. She has blood red hair that comes down to her waist, a violation of military protocol. She has an eye-patch over one eye due to losing that eye in a bar fight that she won. Bio: Lisa was originally born as Rena Fere, with her father being a politician. She graduated from her high school with high grades and entered the military with the intent of becoming a mobile armor pilot. During her last year at the academy, she got into a messy bar fight where she lost the use of her right eye. Despite that disadvantage, she didn't let up in her training and retrained herself to fully use her left eye. She's a hard soldier, and doesn't show any kind of respect to her fellow comrades. She's ruthless, and the fact that she dyed her hair blood red shows that she has no problems killing people. She lost her mobile armor though in a battle against the Outer Rim when another mobile armor rammed her, nearly killing her in the process. After being rescued she was reassigned to Pluto, despite her desire to remain near Earth. She hid herself on a passenger ship that was headed to Pluto, which in turn stopped by the Lance Calisto for refueling. When she got to Pluto; she was assigned the Gundam 'Seer Gundam' Other: Lisa tends to show some ammature-ness by licking her lower lips whenever she's going into a battle. ------ Name: Seer Gundam Pilot: Lisa Unit Type: Gundam Description: The Seer Gundam has the appearance of a humanoid female; and was built for long range engagement. Its frame is lightweight, but is equipped with a sniper rifle for long range and two swords for use in close combat. It has two rotary guns located in the heads. It has a set of missile located on its legs and a hidden blade located in both 'arms'. However, its primary weapon is its sniper rifle and thus it has enough ammunition to last awhile, but once it�s gone the pilot either has to flee the scene or engage in short range combat. Its armor however will only last a few hits, its greatest advantage is its maneuverability and speed. His black hair is tied in a small ponytail behind him. His dark blue eyes hold an air of wisdom and confidence. He wears a neatly pressed light blue collared shirt, a pair of black slacks, and black shoes. He carries a dagger concealed inside his sleeve. Personality wise, Iago has an air of nobility, chivalry, intelligence, and confidence. However, this personality burdens him with great pride and at times arrogance. Bio: Iago was born and raised in Aristocratic Earth, in the area we know as Wales. He grew up as the ward of one of the Wellington Family, learning with the children of Lord Wellington. When the Lord died, head of the house went to his daughter, Elania. Iago became her bodyguard at the age of 16. Iago�s skills with several weapons, skill in a mobile suit, along with a great knowledge of battlefield tactics made him one of the candidates to pilot a Gundam. He has recently arrived at Pluto, taking a leave of absence from the Wellington Estate. He has since acquired the Whisper Gundam. Other: Iago�s favorite food is Saut�ed Oyster and Mushroom, while his least favorite food is Pickles. Mobile Suit Form Name: Whisper Gundam Pilot: Iago Lawley Unit Type: Gundam Description: It has the basic frame of a humanoid suit with armor. The color scheme of the Gundam is black and dark blue, making it better suited for night missions. It has two Vulcan cannons on each side of its head, an accelerated jet booster on its back, and a beam pistol. But its main weapon is in it�s fingers, which emit fine metallic wires that wrap around enemy mobile suits. Energy is shot through the wires to literally cut opponents to ribbons. A pair of gloves is used by the pilot to control these wires easier. Abilities: The Whisper Gundam was built for quick and decisive mid-range combat. It is almost considered a stealth fighter. As such, it is highly ineffective at long range and it does not have the most suitable ordinance for a close range melee fight. Other: It was originally designated Gundam Model X-056, however, due to it�s capabilities, Iago gave it the name �Whisper�. Character Form Name: Modestine Vasser Age: 37 Allegiance: Outer Rim Alliance Occupation: Outer Rim Alliance Parliament Chairman, Leader of the ORA Military Description: Stands at about 5�11�� and 143 lbs. His premature white hair is kept neat and stately. His eyes are a deep crimson-purple. He wears a more regal version of the standard ORA military uniform. At his hip is a pistol. Bio: Long ago, back when the solar system was under one government, the Solar Union, Vasser was a scientist within Special Projects unit. Most of his research was cloaked in darkness. Shortly before the split in government, Vasser defected, getting into politics. His great charisma, intelligence, and cunning allowed him to make his way to Chairman of the ORA Parliament, essentially the head of the Outer Rim government.
