I've installed it and it does everything mentioned in the news article for free without registration: Quote: The free edition offers the usual spyware detection and removal as well as real-time protection with PC Tools' new File Guard technology. Real time protection does take system resources but you can simply use Spyware Doctor for scheduled scans.
