well being a Dolphin fan it is somewhat hard for me to enjoy the Pats winning the superbowl. but then again there are alot of high points to enjoy and giving credit to them. first the most valid point. 3 rings in 4 years....only been done by one other team. second is the way they play, i have never seen a team that comes together as one unit, with everyone pulling there own weight and no egos. third would have to be there coach..... Bellichck can be argued to be the best ever in the game, 10-1 in playoffs. and during the age of free agencey where most teams stack up to be even on the field, it is that much harder for a coach to be this sucessful. i really think that Lombardi would not have the same sucess if he was coaching into todays NFL. Not taking any credit away from the Eagles(they did play with heart)....but this game was not a close as it appeared! after the first 18 mins of the game the Pats never lost control, making the eagles one sided. Mcnabb did throw for 358 yards but he had 51 attemps completing 32 that along with the picks he threw evened out to a 70 passer rating. the one sided offense the eagles presented stood no chance.....seeing how they only had 50 yards rushing. now the Pats ran for over 130 yards between faulk and dillion. and with Brady once again playing near perfect with a 106 rating. for those that didnt or still dont give the Pats credit for the team they are, then i say they are just fools. they beat evey great team this season...and they did it with class, style, and greatness. and lets face it, eveyone in this country admires greatness.......and they are GREAT. and can now be put in the same class as the Packers of the 60's, the Steelers of the 70's, Bears of the 80's and the Cowboys of the 90's.....hats off to the Pats! and im glad that the Dolphins share the same confrence and divison as them. |

Agreed and expected as much, but in the above statement...you put the Bears over the 49ers in the 80's...shame shame .
